Jake von Slatt makes amazing units - he's just completed a PC.

I love these things. I've seen similar made by different people and I downloaded some plans and ideas last year, but haven't gotten around to doing anything. I've seen a lot done with copper and wood too that I really like. Well, I'm one of those guys that's gotta have atmosphere so I like this kind of stuff.

Here's some more interesting steampunk info

I'd like to have my whole studio in HG Wells style if I could. :)

Now where are those links I saved? I'll find em somewhere I'm sure. (I think)

Thanks for that link. I had no idea that "steampunk" existed, but it's really cool and imaginative art work. Who would ever have thought to convert RSS text to Morse code and send it to a telegraph sounder? Apparently this uses a Linux application. Why am I not surprised?

I sent a link to the computer photo to a friend who's a way over-the-top hobbyist machinst, who responded with "Oh, no, not another one" and said they were popping up from Russia and China. Of course he wouldn't scrounge junk shops for decorative chandelier parts and such, he'd turn them out of solid brass.
