Members Eddie
It's almost 6 AM, I can't sleep, and found Springsteen's Working on a Dream on sale at Amazon for $3.99 (MP3). I'm a big fan, although I have not bought any of his CDs in years. I think I have everything up to Tunnel of Love in vinyl, except Born in the USA which I think I have in CD. The last CDs I bought were Human Touch and Lucky Town, so I thought this was a good opportunity to get some new Springsteen music. The problem is that I listened to the audio samples and it sounds horrible, nothing at all like his other records. Too dark, too compressed, very undefined, without any clarity. Is it my lack of sleep? Does anyone have the CD and care to comment? I'm going to sleep and will listen again when I wake up, but I was surprised at how bad Springsteen sounded on this record Hopefully it's just me.
