Members Anderton
For those in the industry, many of you knew (or knew of) Rick Bos, who had worked with Mackie, Peavey, Gibson, and recently, XP Audio. Unfortunately Rick passed away on November 16th from complications involving surgery. Rick was always a nice guy and I'm very sorry he won't be a part of what we all do any more. Just thought y'all might want to know, and send a few good thoughts in his direction.
CMS Author MikeRivers Posted November 18, 2010 CMS Author Share Posted November 18, 2010 Awshi! I knew Rick well when I was working with Mackie and he was the live sound guy. A giant, but a really nice guy, and bright, too.

Members Jon Chappell
I knew Rick first from his Mackie days, and then worked with him recently when I did a story on the XP Audio Forge bass amp. I remember an interesting evening spent with Rick in Frankfurt one year at the Musikmesse. He and I had dinner with fingerstyle artist Doyle Dykes. Turns out Rick had done missionary work in South America and had some great stories. A real gentleman. He will be missed.
Members Rob_Rocks
Is this the same Rick Bos that lived in Orem, Utah (at one time) and played through an Orange stack?
Members Anderton
I think so, I believe he was with DigiTech at one time...if he was 14 feet tall, yes, that was Rick.

Members Rob_Rocks
Dang! I sang in a band with Rick 20 years ago. He was a great guy. We lost touch after the band, but my thoughts and prayers to his family.
