Members angstwulf
I'd like some suggestions about how to best start sorting out a setup problem. Here's the stuff: Early 2011 MBP 13 - 2.3 i5Bootcamp w/ Snow Leopard or Win7 Home 64bitMOTU 828 mkII Using OSX - no problems so far - Garageband works great on 8 channels of recording/playback Using Win7 - If I boot up Win 7 after powering up the 828, it works okay as a general purpose sound card. - With Sonar 8, either nothing happens (either the project "plays" but with no sound output or the program freezes). Then the 828 is useless for all purposes and I have to reboot.- With FL Studio 10 - it works about half the time. The other half, it freezes and the 828 no longer works at all. I am using the latest drivers from MOTU. Suggestions on where to start troubleshooting? Thanks.
Members Anderton
I don't use Boot Camp, but are you sure it supports 64-bit Windows 7? Might be worth trying the 32-bit version (maybe you could borrow a copy just to test it?) to see what happens.
Members angstwulf
I think I have a 32-bit version buried somewhere. I'll give it a try. Thanks.
Members amplayer
I'd suggest making sure you REALLY have the latest drivers for 64-bit from MOTU. My own experience with 64-bit drivers has been less than stellar, but some people report success.http://www.motu.com/techsupport/technotes/64-bit-windows-compatibility
