Real or staged? I'd say the latter. I know that singing is controlled by a different part of the brain than ordinary speech. That's why for example, people who stutter are less likely to stutter while singing or reading out loud.

Also, isn't the whole "shouting out obscenities" thing just a Tourette's stereotype? Most people who have that condition merely mutter nonsense consonant sounds than complete words or phrases.
