I realize the majority of people posting here won't go anywhere near the Political Party Forum but I posted a thread there (accidentally, it was meant to go to the acoustic guitar forum) about a great Swedish musician. Check it out: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?2921772-OT-Another-quot-fast-and-furious-quot-thread...

@Craig: if you think my post on your forum here is inappropriate, feel free to delete it.

Well folks, I didn't expect a whole lot of replies to my thread on Craig's forum but I must say I do find 0 (zero) responses to Martin's amazing talent (not only as a musician but also the way he records his guitars) after 109 views a bit strange, to be honest.

But I realize now I indeed must have made a mistake posting it here and I apologize for that. I promise it won't happen again.

Don't take it personal. I'm often ignored and told that my topics are trash, but I take that as a sign of love here.

Anyway, the guy is really good. Large span with his fingers, so that helps with his playing being so fluid. He's probably also a good 5 string banjo player too.

If Steve Howe would practice a bit more, he could probably be as fluid as your guy ...maybe come up with some new idea themes too... but hey, when we're all approaching 134 years old, getting more fluid on the guitar isn't always a high priority any more.

Anyway, while I no longer listen much to that type of playing (17 guitars and I hardly ever open any of them), he is indeed very technically proficient.

I've been out of town or trapped in the recording studio quite a bit, so apparently I missed this thread. I've copied and pasted some of what you wrote so others can hear it so they don't have to venture to that dark, scary place. :D

Also listen to his beautiful rendition of "A Whiter Shade of Pale:

Here's his website:

for many more clips or you could check out his YouTube channel (pinofluvius):

To say the guy can finger-pick would be an understatement, that's for darn sure. The guy's amazing.

LOL. I was already aware of that but thanks for copying some of Martin's clips here, Ken :thu: In retrospect, I probably should have done the same thing when I posted it.

Cheers, man. This kind of basically unknown talent (I mean, how many people here have heard of Martin Tallstrom?) deserves all the exposure they can get, imo.
