Members veracohr
Hello! I need to make a screen recording along with some microphone audio. A coworker informed me that Quicktime gives me this ability (new to me!) so I tried it out, but I ran into some trouble. The trouble is that Quicktime lets me choose from my laptop's built-in mic, the mic input, or my MOTU UltraLite FireWire audio interface. Naturally I chose the UltraLite, but it seems like it mixes all input channels, doesn't give me the option of choosing the input channel. This is a problem because channels 7 & 8 of my UltraLite have a constant noise; this isn't normally a problem when recording to a DAW because I never record more than two tracks at once and I can choose the channels. But apparently I can't choose channels when recording to Quicktime. Anyone know a way around this? Maybe another program I can record screen visuals with that will allow channel selection from the audio interface? Or should I just resign myself to the built-in laptop mic? Edit: This is Quicktime 10.0 and Mac OS 10.6.
