The only rational thing to do is to make music because you want to.On the other hand, I see a market for Music Agents. At least in the midwest (where you don't have to pay venues to perform). There are a large number of excellent musicians who are terrible at marketing. If you can line them up with gigs and get 10 or 15% of the cut, you might do very very well.
