Great piece of rock - I enjoyed the listen.

The only one thing I would have changed in the chorus is the double syllable word, 'about' to the single syllable word, 'of'.

Finally finished mixing this and made a video for it. I stole Stick's idea of swapping the pan on the strings, but didn't end up using the tracks he was kind enough to mix because my shoddy editing had created so many flaws. Ended up having to go back to the original tracks and reediting the entire thing, but it was worth it to get rid of all those damn pops and clicks. I never realized how much damage gain processing can do to a track, it's all automation for me from this point on (and has been since "Pangaea").

            Simply beautiful. Very nice work.

Hey! I want some cool looking professory guy playing violin and cello on my track too! That was awesome! Very, very cool. Love that song.
Thomas Jefferson said... "The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the Supreme Being as His father, in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter." hmmm...

Reminder: I've been accepted as a participant in a talent showcase at the Metropolitan Room, a jazz/cabaret nightclub in Manhattan. The show starts at 9:30 on Thurs. November 1st.

                  For reservations call 212.206.0440,

MUST MENTION MY NAME AS ARTIST SO I CAN GET CREDIT.

The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd St., between Fifth and Sixth Avenues

Ticket Price: $20.00, 2 Beverage Minimum

I'm not hoping to get a performer's gig out of the deal, I'm just looking to showcase my songwriting skills.

Please let me know if you can make it!

I'm not sure this counts as songwriting as there is no lyrics, but I've been scoring a series of comic books for the last several months. The comic is Neil Gaiman's Sandman.

There are eight issues in the first story arch and I've just finished and uploaded no.5.

                      http://soundcloud.com/shadowsofbirds...an-passengers/

(the four preceding issues are here: http://soundcloud.com/shadowsofbirds...p-of-the-just/)

They are roughly ten minutes an issue so I'm fifty minutes in.

I've been doing pop songs in between the issues and when I'm finished with this eight part run I'm going to work on something more record like for a while (so I'll probably start posting works in progress..) but in the mean time - I thought I'd post this as I think it's kind of a cool and original concept/production/thing.

I don't post here much put do lurk a fair bit to have a listen and read (don't really feel qualified to comment until I put more of my own stuff up).

Anyway I finally got up solo at my local original material only open mic on Wednesday evening and had a pretty good reception.

I had planned on playing one old one I've dusted off and a new WIP, also was asked for a third so had to dig something ancient out of the bag and try and remember it.

I now have a deadline of next month's originals open mic to finish three more.

I'm not really setup for recording at the mo but will put some of the stuff up when I get a chance.

Excellent - there are many of us here that don't do the live thing so good on you. Feel free to join in the discussions if you have something to contribute, it doesn't matter that you aren't posting your own stuff yet

Autumn Sky possible final mix. Can anyone care to listen and let me know if the synth sounds in the two choruses work? If so, then this is done. If not, I could just go back and mute the track.

                              Thanks everyone.

Is this the right version? I don't really hear the synth?
