Moderators Lee Knight Posted July 11, 2013 Moderators Share Posted July 11, 2013 Posting this because O asked me to! I hope this OK with you, Mr Blue. FINISHED WORK, VIDEOS, CAREER NEWS, BSP, MORE... No news too trivial, no bragging right too small. Whether your latest triumph was a multi-album deal or a good night at your local open mic -- there's room to talk about it here... Here's this month's Official Showcase Thread where you can post your completed projects, links to finished works (even old ones) you want your pals here in the SW forum to hear, promo videos, covers of other people's songs, or just generally shameless self-hype that you're far too professional and courteous to post in the main forum. IMPORTANT REMINDER: the HC SWF Facebook page is also available for posting your finished work, vids, career news, etc. Feel free to post here and there, if you like. POST 'EM IF YOU GOT 'EM! Members Oswlek
I spent some time polishing a few recent ones and feel like they are finally under control:All Fall Down - http://picosong.com/RjrGTons of changes, but the biggies are cutting the drum intro in half and taming the vocals through EQ, gain and cutting the reverb way down. I also dropped the room sounds in the snare and added some piano to the end. I'm still considering getting the kids to record some "ring around rosey" stuff for the end, but I think it is done musically. Quiet - http://picosong.com/RjG9At Stick's suggestion I gave the tune a glue reverb treatment. I also went in and boosted the highs a great deal for the clean electric to feature it more. Also added a clean electric track to the choruses. Really like how this one came out.
Members rsadasiv
Thanks Lee! Usually my family hates/ignores my music, so it was nice to have a project that they approved of and were willing to participate in. Here's one more from that gig. No family participation, but this was a huge song for me when I was a teenager, and it was interesting to go back to and play 30 years later: it's a different world now, but great songs can stand the test of time. http://onwardcoverstoglory.tumblr.com/post/57425960146/originally-by-the-replacements-relocated-down
