Members McQ7
SOLD For sale in excellent condition are three 12AX7 7025 preamp tubes: 1) 1960 short-plate Mullard I61, white label re-branded as "Webcor" with etchings of I61 and B0G on the glass, Made in Great Britain, 7025 2) 1962 short-plate Mullard I61, red label re-branded as "Webcor" with etchings of I61 and B2H4 on the glass, Made in Great Britain, 7025 3) unkown year long-grey-plate Sylvania, yellow label, 7025 The Mullard tubes definitely live up to their reputation. I used them to replace the Sovtek brand 12AX7 tubes in my Tweaker, and the difference was astounding. Way more 3-D like tone, sweeter highs, and just felt better under my fingertips--difficult to put into words. The Sylvania was also a marked improvement over the Sovtek. It didn't feel as thick as the Mullards and had a nice bit of snarl to the tone. I just no longer have an amp that takes 12AX7 tubes (my amp takes 6SL7s). So rather than have these gather dust, I'd prefer they go to someone who can use then and love 'em as much as I have! (Good eBay feedback: yourcue.
