Members Carbohydrates
The idea came up in HCEG and I thought it was a good one: Let's swap pickups! What I've got: - x2 GFS Pro Tube lipstick humbuckers (neck and bridge). Installed once. - Lindy Fralin overwound dogear P90 (bridge). Brand new, never installed! Black cover. - x2 DiMarzio Virtual PAF (neck and bridge). Original leads with plenty of length, but I don't know their history. Double black open bezels. - Seymour Duncan Jazz (neck). Only been in one guitar. Double black open bezel. - Seymour Duncan Super Distortion (bridge). Came with the Jazz. Double black open bezel. - Fender Samarium Cobalt Tele (neck). Brand new, never installed. Only ended up using the bridge pickup, so this one's just sitting around. - Fender MIM Std Tele (neck). It... came out of a MIM tele. - Fender Vintage Reissue 57/62 strat pickups (Neck and Middle). Cream covers - not sure if they're original to the pickups, but they're nice quality with rounded edges and such. Currently installed in a guitar. - Fender MIM 50's RI strat pickup (bridge). Same story as above. - Cash. What I want: - TV Jones pickups of some sort, preferably English mount. - Gibson humbuckers: BB 1, 2, 3, or pro; Classic 57s, etc. - HB-sized P90s of any sort are always fun to have handy. - Cash. Members tonyv77
I have a SD Custom Custom SH-11 (currently in my epi sheraton) I also have the neck HB from my epi sheraton. It's a great pickup. I'd keep it but if I can trade it.... Looking for GFS (or similar price range), filtertrons, 90s or 180s, maybe even some lipstick tubes. Members cratz2
I'll play. I have: Texas Specials currently installed in an MIJ strat. H/S/S Tex Mex set in the original pickguard. Everything is white. The 5 way auto splits the HB when in the bridge+middle position and sounds VERY much like a traditional strat. The HB is fairly similar to a Fender Atomic II. Dimarzio Mega Drive or D Sonic. I forget which. I'll recheck if anyone is interested. Short lead, but long enough to work in a strat body for sure. 2 Dimarzio HS3s and 1 HS2. The HS3s work great in any position or some folks prefer the HS2 in the neck position. You can mix and match. 2 Chrome HBs out of a first year Santana SE. Very low output. Similar to 57 Classics or Seth Lovers, but not as complex sounding. GFS Dream 90, neck position, chrome cover, full lead.(Dream 90 is sold) Epiphone 57 Hot Something Something pickups out of a 2002 Korean Studio LP. Black. Bridge is definitely hotter than the neck. Ibanez AH1/AH2 out of a Korean AX120 and an AX125. Black. 2 Sets Interested in: Single Fender CS54 Duncan Antiquities Strat pups. A full set or 1 or 2 singles. Dimarzio 36th Anniversary in Zebra Dimarzio Virtual PAF in zebra or double cream Gibson Burstbucker 2 in chrome/nickel or zebra Cash can go either way of course to even out a trade. Members stevieb
Texas Specials currently in a Squire Strat American Strat Standards Epiphone Les Paul Standards Set of Strat single coils represented to me as American Standards; the backs don't look like Am. Standards but they test out at resistances in the Am. Std. range. Whatcha got?

Members fxloop
* FYI- paf style pickups are generally pretty bright, med/low output(7k-10k). Distortion styles and pickups with ceramic magnets(alot of gibsons) are generally louder and more mid-spikey/bassy(9k-17k) Other than gibson '57 classics, i've changed ALL my stock gibson pickups... as i play mostly Mesa/Boogie- ie Darker amps. They're great(gibson stock) with Marshal amps only IMHO....15+years of gigging and owning almost every type common guitar and amp combination- fender, marshall, boogie, peavey, PRS, gibson, heritage and ampeg. A great humbucker pickup for bright guitars and/or amp would be a Dimarzio Tone Zone, SD distortion, PRS dragon II's, HFS or vintage bass.... i'm sure there's alot of other opinions on this Tim
