Members raphaelw Posted January 28, 2009 Members Share Posted January 28, 2009 I am moving and (very reluctantly) have to sell a wonderful upright bass.It is a 3/4 size upright plywood bass, manufactured in about 1970 in Germany by Karl Knilling.A Ned Steinberger/David Gage "Realist" pickup is installed in the bridge.This bass has an exceptionally warm, full tone, and has been maintained in great condition.The neck is made of sycamore, and the fingerboard is maple.I don't want to ship it, so it probably only makes sense if you are located close to either the New York City area (where the bass is), or close to the Scranton/Milford/Port Jervis area of Pennsylvania or New York State (I travel to that area a lot).
