  • FS/FT:Custom airbrushed Explorer

Well...this is certainly one of a kind.

For sale is an extremely awesome, one of a kind guitar. I've dubbed it the "Batsplorer". Ultimate stage guitar for the comic book/Batman fan.

The neck is an 83' B.C. Rich neck, very high quality, made in Nagoya, Japan(the orginal "NJ" BC Rich). 24 frets, nice rosewood fretboard. No sharp frets, nicely dressed, only very minor fretwear on first few, great feeling neck. Newer Gotoh tuners, locking nut.

The body is a custom Explorer style body, with a contoured heel and comfort bevel, solid mahogany. The finish is a cream made to emulate the color of faded comic book pages. The bridge is an original Kahler studmount in great condition, functions great as well. The single humbucker is a Dimarzio X2N in custom ordered pink/black, wired with a push pull pot in series/parallel, so this very powerful pickup can be used quite effectively for non-rock metal as well.

And then we have the main selling point, the piece de resistance, the Batman graphic. COMPLETELY airbrushed by hand, *dozens+* of hours of work, this isn't a comic glued on or a sticker finished over like most graphic guitars these days. The detail is fantastic, and the colors used are phenomenal, many metallic and neon colors that don't pop in the pics like they do in person. Panels were copied from an old batman comic featuring Two Face and the Riddler,  though I don't know what exact comic it was.

The bad-not in perfect condition, but not battered either. Small dings, chips and cracks here and there around the body and neck, and some dings on the top, though none through the finish. Not a *perfect* finish, top is a nitro and there are some slight blemishes here and there that are only noticeable in certain lighting/angles, but not a terrible job by any means, but thought I'd mention it to be honest. These flaws however don't distract from the awesome impact that this paintjob oozes. It really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. Hey, it's a guitar that has been worn in. You won't cry if you give it a little ding, there is some solace in that. It's a true blue rocker. It's not like Batman never got scuffed up a little.

One of a kind, nothing else like this out there. Whether you want it as wall art, stage guitar, or just a neat piece in a collection, it's very cool.

The guitar plays great and sounds great as well, nice action, very resonant. Vibrato bar included, as well as a very nice, brand new heavy duty gig bag.

    700 OBO, trades considered.
