For sale here is one 1970's HH MA100 Solid State PA Amplifier Head. Looking for £60 for this.

Rated at 100 watts into 4 Ohms, although speakers with a combined impedance of up to 16 ohms can be connected to it.

5 channels with 2 inputs on each channel. Please note that only some of these inputs and channels currently work. I have no access to leads by which to check which function and which do not, but those who know what they're doing should be able to repair all of these inputs. Some inputs function perfectly, while some do not work at all.

Each Channel has:-

  • 2 standard jack socket inputs (Hi & Lo)
  • Volume control
  • Bass control
  • Treble control
  • Reverb on/off push switch

Please Note: Reverb needs to be repaired, not currently working across all inputs. The reverb is installed across all five channels (using on/off push switch), together with master control knob for reverb level, which can be controlled by a footswitch.

There is also master volume and master presence control knobs on the right hand side of the front panel.

The Perspex front panel is marked and cracked in spots. Some control knobs are also cracked. Lights still turns functions when turned on.

On the rear panel there are jack sockets for ‘Echo Send’ and ‘Echo Return’ to connect external echo or other effect units, plus a Slave output socket to connect to another amplifier and boost the volume, an Auxiliary output for linking to a mixing desk and a jack socket to accept a single footswitch (not included) to control the On/Off reverb.

The ABS side plastic handles and both top and bottom panels are in decent condition considering the age. However, the amp has been used over the past few decades, and this shows.

Amplifier has been used in the past for both guitar and microphone, and sounds good with either.

Would rather cash and collection in person from the address above, but would be prepared to meet in Glasgow city centre and the surrounding area if necessary.

Feel free to have a look at our other listings, including one matching 1970's HH Power Amplifier Head and one 1970's 1x12 Sound City Club cabinet, which we've used in the past alongside both heads. We would be prepared to sell multiple items for a discounted price.

Thanks for your time.
