  • FT: Univox U-320pb head

Hey...i have a '68 Univox U-320pb head that I'd like to trade for a different tube head in working condition. I always love a good trade. I'm located in Central Arkansas.
This is a vintage piece in good condition that needs a little electronic restoration.

    The good:
    original chassis and head cabinet
    has vintage tubes*(rca, mullard, silvertone)
    Has original reverb
    the verb is spectacular (suuuuuuuurfy)
    Has standby option
When serviced I'm told these are clean to the max just about.
great for jazz or a good tube powered clean platform.
*************comes with a complete extra set of tubes all NIB***********
    2 7591 EHX
    3 12ax7 tung sol
    1 12au7 EHX
    1 6an8 GE
    over 100$ in tubes

    The bad:
    -needs capjob
-needs one of the trannies replaced...someone put one in that's not correct spec.
-not sure if the tremolo works on it. Currently not working
    -still has original 2-prong plug.

******this is all based on my tech's diagnostic of the amplifier to the best of my ability to explain it....the trade would be AS IS*************
that this is a very neat, rare vintage project amplifier/ modding platform. It was sold to me under the pretense that it worked and I was absolutely crest-fallen to get it home to discover it had these issues. I wouldn't want to put anyone else through the misery of that realization.

Feel free to ask any questions I will try to answer to the best of my ability

I'm looking for a usable tube head with at least 50w output
Not very picky about brand as long as it sounds good and puts out alot of sound.
would prefer it to be rated at 4ohm so I can use my existing cab/speakers

I wish I could use this amp however I can't afford to fix it as a struggling musician and family man with a blue collar job. It needs a good home with someone that can fix it and put it to it's full potential.

    PM me if interested.

Hey look I found a BUMP

Feel free to tempt me with offers outside of the parameters of what I originally asked for.
Although preference will of course go to anyone offering a cool head.
Musicman, traynor, sovtek....super cool w/ mid-grade stuff. Not looking for high gain right now.
        Thanks

Open to cash sale. Prefer local as I'd rather not ship.
            Make me an offer.

Decent enough offer gets the cab too. As much as that hurts.
Head w/ vintage tubes, plus new tubes, plus original cab with silver dust-capped jensens. Looking for about 425$
