Members techristian
Imagine playing a gig on a set of drums that you could reconfigure "on the fly". The drums would move into different positions depending on the song you are playing. Just hit a button to select the configuration. It would take some time to set this up for each individual . I see this as a possibility for the future.Dc Servo motors can now be bought for as little at $10 each. I picture something that looks like a tree with at least 3 main branches. It will fold up into a single 5 foot long beam. With 6 motors (2 on each branch) it would be flexible. It would also save time for setup and tear down. I think the entire thing could be a $1000 product. 1) Plant the tree. (mounting to some heavy base)2) Hit SETUP for user custom setup. The branches open and position.3) Attach drums to branches4) Reverse for tear down. Dan
Members 1001gear
Try here. tag@neilpeart.net Actually, I think you've lost your mind but that's just me. I also can't think of any material that would require a percussion setup of that nature. Unless your tour covers Rush, DT, AND Penderecki. Any proto sketches? Members techristian
That came up on my Facebook the other day as a post I put up years ago. It was probably an idea that I got after the Gibson robotic guitar. Daan
