Members Carminemw Posted September 21, 2016 Members Share Posted September 21, 2016 This is a Paiste 21" Dry Ride that I purchased for $40.00...knowing full well it was cracked. You can't see the crack going around the bell, but when crashed, you can hear metal on metal vibration. After having no luck with repairs, I decide to accentuate the positive, and drilled it for rivets. Those sizzle rivets not only increase the sustain, but also cover up the metal on metal sizzle with it's own purposeful sizzle from the crack...vuo la! Instant old school Jazz Ride...my students think it's so cool...they've never heard one before...they stare in disbelief...lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
