Members Dendy Jarrett Posted May 31, 2016 Members Share Posted May 31, 2016 From Yamaha: I am 99% sure I know what this is from the number of lug casing, the lug casings and the shell material.I have a kit just like this and it is most likely a Rydeen or YD drum set. These were our entry level drum sets at the time and were 100% mahogany shells. They didn't last that long and is the line of Yamaha that seemed to have the least favorable comments about. It was "Philippine" mahogany which is a lower grade of mahogany wood, BUT, BUT Rydeen's were GREAT entry level kit! A step up in sound and construction from the YD series!! The old member here "DW" had a Rydeen as his practice/ basic gig set and was always bragging about it!
