Members techristian
This is a serious topic believe it or not. First off, no matter how hard I try, I can clean my throne every day, but can't get rid of that odor. This isn't such a big problem until you get a paying gig. That smell will follow you all over even after a fresh shower with clean pants and undergarments. I was at a practice recently where the bass player, talking about another drummer I knew, said "That guy stinks bad." So my question to the audience, what do you do about it? The plastic seats are horrible for this. Dan

Members 1001gear
Fools leap Uh so here goes. First. Febreeze. Works on cat pis. Butt odor should be covered. If it doesn't, let your cat have at it. Second, try a hard surface. Plastic, wood, what ever. For you fairy butts, learn to sit properly.

Members Dendy Jarrett
I once played for a national touring act. I often was one of the crew that got to ride in the band gear truck. It had a bathroom on one side behind the cab and a wardrobe on the other side (Behind the passenger seat) All of this was in the cab before the cube that contained our gear.We had a female singer. She never had her garments cleaned and they hung in the wardrobe. Um, ... It made for an "interesting" ride. Yet I digress.I think the terry cloth removable covers is the way to go.Also, the automotive Febreeze does indeed work wonders ...You can find it at your local auto parts store ... Phil O'Keefe
one word on fabreeze... carcinogen... you places yer bets you takes yer chances... Really? That sucks. It's my wife's favorite air freshener. Do you have any links about this by any chance? It's the first I've heard of it, and considering my wife is a cancer survivor, I would prefer to avoid using anything questionable.

Members FitchFY
I sweat more than any drummer ever should, but I've never heard of a funky throne. I use a Tama First Chair and play 3-4 hour rock gigs, and the throne smells like... the leather cover. So yeah, I've got nothing on this one other than "if your butt causes smell so bad that it invades non-porous drum thrones, then call an exorcist."
