The bassist in my new band loves these guys and recently turned me on to em. I've been rocking this album in my car nonstop for a couple weeks now!

I can't tell you how refreshing it is to hear that level of ensemble. I hope they get good funding. Musicians need the carrot.

I've only listened to this on CD until you posted the video. I didn't imagine it being set up like it is. It's impressive. I want in!

Very nice, I just wish the drums didn't sound so "muddy". Reminds me a lot of old Steely Dan.

Yeah he does have an old style organic sound but there's so much going on to me, it blends right in.

Lol they all [ asteroids ]

Somebody recommended Doses and I think it makes a fitting punishment.

In related news, I grabbed a copy of LMMS - a free multimedia synth sequencer Lots of tracks, lots of sounds, lots of effects, pretty banal so far. Also grabbed Hydrogen, a synth type drum machine, also free. Haven't installed that one yet.Right now I'm too lazy to get a midi to usb thing so I'm just clicking and dragging stuff. You wanna talk not my cup of tea you should try the do it yourself route.

man, after sampling different free stuff, i've come to realize i'd gotten better beats with an old boss machine thru assorted stomp boxes.
                          label me old school, lol.
