Dude, you're kit is the tits....If I'm seeing things correctly, you've taken the trigger plunge. I've been wanting to do that for the longest time....but felt like to do it right, I'd have to lay out some serious dough (triggers, DM5 brain, small mixer, amp, monitors, etc.)

Door is always open to my double bass kickin' brethren.

Thank you!

Yeah, I got the triggers a few months ago. DDrum Pros for the trigger and a Alesis D4 for the brain. I just run the D4 into a headphone amp and mix it with an iPod for headphone jamming. Works great!

your kit is

If our bands were sharing a bill, and we were sharing a kit, I'd be pretty freaking pleased.

Man, when I play shows where I share a kit with someone, it almost always sucks so much! Not that many of us lefties...

:(

Playing quite a few shows, and having to occasionally use a borrowed/rented/house kit, had a lot to do with going with the more stripped-down setup. As you said, my setup time is REALLY short and there's isn't much to drag around...

leaving me more time to drink beer at the bar...
:D

I deal with it by offering to bring my kit.

works sometimes.

I also play a stripped-down kit for similar reasons.

How 'bout the look you get from the sound guy? Like you ruined his entire life.
