Members the DW
Used this for the first time last night at rehearsal: 3 x 13 steel This snare sounds GREAT!! For $115, what a deal. I replaced the Rydeen snare with this since I couldn't get the kind of ghost notes I like out of the Rydeen one. And it came with an actual Remo ambassador batter and Remo snare side heads! I'll be using it in mostly low volume rehearsal or performance situations, so durability shouldn't be an issue, although this snare feels fairly well built. Hey Aqua, here's your low cost piccolo snare!
Members 47milesbarbwire
Hey thats cool... I've been toying with the idea of getting either something like that or one of those 6 x 10 Pacifics, to use as an auxiliary snare... what kind of head are you using on it? Members Old Steve
I have a 3x12 hammered steel Tama that I picked up for $99 a couple years ago. Despite it's diminuitive size, rimshots on the thing cut through just about anything. Fun little drum.

Members the DW
More info: I have the batter head tuned medium tension, and snare side head tuned a bit below medium tension. I find that the rim shots are solid but not piercing, and the ghost notes are fantastic. Great little snare!
