Members D Carroll
Picked one up today at GC, and for the first time, is see why we call them thrones, I feel like my playing has gotten better just by having a stable seat, and yes, it does make me feel like the king of the groove. Members Cross Eyed Mary
I don't know why they call them first chair, makes it sound like something CB would make. Great thrones. I've been wanting to upgrade but it always comes down to to preffering to play a nice cymbal on a crappy throne.

Members D Carroll
Does it help with your bass speed at all? I don't think you need much bass speed in blues or jazz But, you would be working from a steady base, so you won't wobble as much, so yes, go to GC, and try a good throne, chances are you will leave with one.
