Members drumsdb
I haven't used the EC Resonant heads yet, though I've heard good things. However, I do use the Evans Genera Resonants w/ EC2's on all my kits and get a perfect low rich tone. Great for rock or blues stuff. I'd suggest giving those a try. If you have a good music store near you, you can always buy both to try and keep the one you like better. Since it's not a batter head, the resonant head won't show wear, so it doesn't hurt it to throw it on the drum and do a sound test. Danny
Members cdawg
not much good i'll do, but...i've always used remo ambassadors. i'd say anything is going to be better than the pearls. either way, i've always tuned my top heads tighter than bottom. makes for a nice deep BOOoom.
