Members Davidburleson
Hi everyone, I'm a typical bedroom dj and turntablist. The other day, while doing some mixing, I thought it would be cool if there was a site that provided bpm information so you could find tracks that mix well with other tracks. I went online and found a couple which proved some bpm data but it feels a little lacking. Being a web developer by trade, I started thinking about building something which allowed djs to add bpm and mixing data to a site and the site could then provide info like - matching tracks with same bpm- best tracks to mix with suggested by other users- places to find the track like iTunes or discogs. S, first question, does anyone know if something like this exist already? If not, am I the only one who thinks it wold be useful? Don't worry, I'm not trying to promote anything here, I just want to see if it exists and if not, if its worth dedicating my time to building a tool like this. Market research I suppose Thanks,David
Members ionication
Well I don't know of any specific site, but beatport has some data on bpms and key signatures. There's also this program called mixed in key which detects key signatures of each track. I think bpm too.
