Ripping CDs to Laptop

I spent the weekend ripping 300 CDs to my laptop using Windows Media Player.

Then I downloaded MIXXX virtual DJ software.

Mixxx wont load the songs to its library.

I have tried dragging the songs to the player, and have "browsed" and directed the file to load.

It wont do it.

What am I doing wrong?

These songs are MP3s in 128 and 192 bitrate.

Thanks for our help.

I'm a noob at this so go easy on me.

That's a strange one. First thing I'd suggest is downloading a trial version of other MP3 DJ software (even if you don't plan to use it), and seeing if the files can be loaded into one of those. If so, then you know there wasn't anything wrong with the files.

Have you tried playing back the MP3s through Windows Media Player?

Okay, I made a bonehead move.

I ripped all of them and they are NOT MP3s, they are in WMA format.

I downloaded a converter, but that seems to be too much work to convert all these songs 1 at a time.

I started over last night:cry:, all the wma files were deleted and I began ripping them all in MP3 at 360 bitrate.

Hopefully this is the last time .

Thanks for your effort anyaway.
