Members acousticman1 Posted August 23, 2010 Members Share Posted August 23, 2010 Just bought a used Akai MPC 2000xl without the upgraded internal zip drive. Unfortunately any user of this machine knows it predates USB and seems to require an internal zip drive for more storage. On top of that, it requires a 50 pin SCSI cable to be attached to your computer (assuming your computer is 10 years old) so you can load drum samples onto it from your CD ROM drive....ARG! Does anyone know of a sensible cost effective solution other than buying a rare SCSI to USB cable and a boutique internal Zip drive made only for the MPC??? Any replies would be 1000% appreciated!
