Members gary shaw Posted March 17, 2010 Members Share Posted March 17, 2010 My mate's got 4 JBL SRX718 subs and poor top speakers and i'm in the market for some full range speakers and was wondering whether a pair of Mackie HD1531 or QSC HPR152i speakers would sound good with my mate's 4 SRX subs. He got them cheap off a guy who was selling his system and had the 4 subs left so was very lucky. We're gonna put our system together, my tops and his subs. My shortlist of tops I been looking at are : Mackie HD1531QSC HPR152i Or I was thinking hard about saving up and buying a paif of EAW KF850 speakers and running them on QSC RMX series amps because after buying the KF850 speakers i'd not be able to afford any amps more expensive really. I dont mind the weight of the EAW speakers at all, because my friends will give me a hand and i'll only be lifting them on top of the subs, not flying them.
