I prefer the older USA made one, but I've played the Chinese ones, and they're actually really nice. If you're interested, I have a Gibson Chet Atkins CEC (nylon string solidbody electric) or an Ovation Elite (USA made, not a Celebrity or Applause!) that I'm willing to trade. Either of these would be a trade-up for the newer Guild, but I don't use them much, so why hang on to them?
