Bach to Rock (B2R), a leading music school with locations in Long Island & Westchester, NY, the Washington DC metro area and other regions is hiring for the following part-time music teacher positions:

 

• Voice (female and male)
  
• Piano
  
• Early Childhood Music Program
  

You are an energetic, dependable and committed MUSIC TEACHER with a background in music performance and/or music education desiring to teach private and/or group lessons. You love teaching beginners, intermediates and advanced students of all ages and you want to be involved with other like-minded pro musicians who love teaching and providing great service. The ideal applicant:

 

• Must demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts to students.
  
• Must be able to read music
  
• Must be available to work at least four total hours and at least two days per week
  
• Some positions may require work on weekends
  
• Teaching certificate, music degree(s), and/or extensive music experience preferred; those who are currently enrolled in a music degree program and/or with work experience in the field of music will also be considered.
  

We are the Music School for students of all ages. B2R's unique method is based on the knowledge that students learn best when they join together to play the music they like the most. That's why we use special arrangements of the music of our time and combine individual lessons with band or group instruction. Weekly lessons lead to our twice-annual Battles of the Bands or Music Showcase and recording sessions in B2R Studios, our own professional, on-site pro recording facilities. B2R also holds regularly scheduled public concerts that encourage students to become seasoned performers.
