Members bnyswonger
I'm sorry, but 2 part harmony is almost unheard of in pop music.

Members sunburstbasser
Beach Boys. Kinda dumb music, but the vocals are excellent. Lots of harmonies in Yes as well. Personally, I think Trevor Rabin was a much stronger singer than Steve Howe, and the albums with Rabin tend to have very nice vocal arrangements. Members bnyswonger
Beach Boys. Kinda dumb music, but the vocals are excellent. . Wouldn't you say that Beach Boys were mostly 3 and 4 part? Seeing as how Brian credited his initial arranging inspiration to the Four Freshman? Brian Wilson's music is anything but dumb. Most every Rolling Stones hit from the 60's had Keith on harmony...ditto Ray & Dave Davies in the Kinks, Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, Peter Gabriel & Phil Collins, Clapton & Bruce...etc. etc.

Some albums (Pet Sounds, especially) are the still standards for pop arrangement & production.

We're going to work up some 3 part stuff sometime this year... - georgestrings
