Gah, the English language is just insane. I thought I did well and ended up with a failing 44%.

About half way through I realized that seeing the same word spelled four different ways makes my eyes cross.

That is what happened to me. if I was typing it, instead of reading the word, i think i would do better.

What bothers me more than misspelling is the misuse of the easy-to-spell words:

lose -- loose

to -- two -- too

their--they're--there

Your two picky - people like you make people like me loose they're minds.

I got a 52% - as others said, if I'm typing, my accuracy is much better. I haven't practiced my visual spelling abilities since, oh, eighth grade.

Yea and what about he Queen Mother:

rEdiculous

Arg, that one makes my skin crawl. The root word is ridicule for crying out loud.

Oh, I got 23 too. But I proof read things at work all the time, copywrite is a big part of my job, so I have long grown accustomed to the proper spellings, both UK and USA of most common words now.

And the two I got wrong, I did a big old  on both of them, it was the extra "e" in the American spellings that threw me off. Those two words I think should have it regardless, it just doesn't look right that way.
