Members mddittman
Just need a quick answer for this... I bought a hipshot bass xtender online (BT7) and got it today, and went to install it... here I bought the wrong one. I have the correct one on the way (BT2) and need to return the incorrect one. I put the original tuner back on, and realized that I have a thin, metal washer left over, I assume it goes under the gear. I am not sure if this is from the Hipshot product or the original Fender tuner. I'd like to avoid taking apart one of the other tuners to check, if possible, and I want to make sure that I send back all the parts to the Hipshot that I'll be returning. Anyone know the answer to this offhand?
Members Jazzneck
I have Hipshot Lights or whatever they are called and those do have a washer like you describe. The washer goes on the front side of the neck to prevent the nut from digging into the neck as it tightens up. I hope that helps, Tim
