Simplified volume (aka "just one knob")?

So I've got a Brice HXB-406 with active electronics - push-pull active/passive/volume, blend, and two tone knobs. I don't need all those knobs. I always run my tones all the way up, and the blend in the middle. Is it practical to rewire the thing so I just have volume? I want to replace the pickups eventually, and thought about having a simpler knob configuration.

For those of you who can read electrical hieroglyphics, here's the wiring diagram: http://www.rondomusic.com/photos/bass/hxbdiag.jpg

Bypassing the blend should be no problem.

If you bypass boost/cut active tone controls it would be like running them in the middle, not all the way up. You could maybe replace the tone pots with mini-pots inside the control cavity, but you'd have to figure out something to mount them on.

So that's why it's called boost and cut - that's actually what they do. :)
