Alvarez question

I own an Alvarez bass and it has a headstock that looks like this: [ATTACH=CONFIG]n31720974[/ATTACH]

 

I believe mine was made in the mid 90's based on the serial number and that they changed the headstock to look like your example after that. Yours probably dates to the late 90's. The model I have was called a "Villain Bass." You might find some information here: http://www.bass-guitar-museum.com/ma...urer.php?ID=31. It looks like the 4-string version of yours was the AEB200 if that helps. If you have the bass in hand, check the neckplate for a serial number, that's where mine is.

Interesting. That Alvarez headstock looks almost exactly like my Ibanez GSR 200, so much so that I had to check to see if there was any difference.
