Great little amp, though the built in tuner kind of stinks. Anyway, I have gotten some nice sounds out of it for him, but what I'm really after is that early Geddy Lee crunch, ala Working Man. Since he doesn't have a Rickenbacker bass, I'm just looking to get in the general ball park. So far, I've only been able to come up with clean sounds. Rolling the treble all the way up on the bass starts to get close since he plays with a pick most of the time. What I'm looking for is to get some crunch out of the amp. His bass is a Fender Mustang (yes, he's a converted guitar player). Can anyone help out in my tone quest? I'm primarily a drummer and guitarist, so am not really knowledgeable on how to get good bass tones. P.S.- I also have an MXR bass DI/preamp to add to the mix.
