We're rhythm guys too and we don't get the strokes lead players do (unless we're fronting the band in which case we're not primarily guitarists any more). Give a brother a break, man! Members DeepEnd Posted November 24, 2014 Members Share Posted November 24, 2014 I have to admit, the guy who plays bass in our praise band is a truly great guy. He's originally a trumpet player but when someone donated a used bass to our church he's the guy we recruited. I don't know if some personalities are drawn to the bass or if playing bass brings something out but it seems to be true in my limited experience. Hmmm.
