Members WRGKMC
Compared to this it doesn't look like it is. http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-EPI-ENCT-AWGH1?src=Y0802G00SRCHCAPN&gclid=CPXGmNjPr8ECFYVDMgodFw0AbQ Fortunately the Chinese counterfeiters haven't gotten around to forging too many Epiphones. Maybe they get some out of the factory over there through the back door but its mostly Gibsons they fake. Here's the biggest forgery site I've come across its the Oriental version of EBay and nearly every guitar here is a fake and most don't even try to hide the fact they are Forgeries http://www.aliexpress.com/category/100005413/guitar.html?site=glo&shipCountry=us&isrefine=y

In fact, there's a thread over at MyLesPaul.com in the Epiphone section purely about identifying fakes. It's VERY long and there's A LOT of fakes in it. Members stormin1155
A lot less difference between a fake Epiphone and a real Epiphone than between a fake Gibson and a real Gibson. For all we know, fake Epiphones could be made in the same factory as the real ones.
Members badpenguin
Well, here's an interesting question no one has posed..... Why do you think it's fake?

Members Tony Burns
To the best of my knowledge its not worth it for a chinese factory to immitate another chinese factory guitar .they typically fake Gibsons / Fenders / Martin etc -- you have the real MC'coy -they typically dont have a high dollarcost new and are usually bargains on the used Market - their great guitars for the money - so you did good !Smart Buy ! Members JTEES4
People in China gotta eat too. I laugh when people throw the word "sweat shop" out there automatically when in some cases they are actually feeding a family of 8 on their "dollar a day". By the way I HATE counterfeit guitars and would never knowingly buy or sell one.
