EL CAJON, Calif. - March 27, 2012 - Boasting a fresh selection of gorgeous tonewoods, Taylor's annual Spring Limited Edition guitars are here. This year's beauties include a Cocobolo 800 Series, Hawaiian Koa 300 Series, a Baritone 416ce, and a trio of exotic-wood GS Mini guitars.

Cocobolo's rich tonal palette and bold complexion give it a premium appeal that's usually reserved for our top-of-the line Presentation Series and custom orders, but this spring it makes a guest appearance with the 800 Series as an 814ce-LTD and 816ce-LTD. Paired with a Sitka spruce top,Cocobolo Limiteds the two models feature curly maple binding, a Venetian cutaway, and an abalone rosette. Proprietary CV bracing enhances the natural projection  and tonal depth of cocobolo, and it all translates into great amplified tone with our onboard Expression System® (ES) electronics.

Koa's captivating characteristics, from a bright, complex tonal profile to its visual beauty, make it a perennial favorite of many. While this batch doesn't quite display the over-the-top figure of our Koa Series models, the "wow" factor is still high, and we're pleased to offer it as value-added upgrade to our 300 Series. Available as a steel-string 310ce-LTD, 312ce-LTD, 314ce-LTD, 316ce-LTD, or as a nylon-string 312ce-N-LTD and 314ce-N-LTD, the guitars feature  back and sides of koa with a Sitka spruce top. All models include a Venetian cutaway, pearloid dot fretboard inlays, a three-ring rosette, and ES electronics.

The popular GS Mini breaks new ground this spring with an inspiring batch of beautiful wood for the back and sides. Choose from maple, rosewood and figured blackwood models, all featuring solid Sitka  spruce tops. The GS Mini has been hailed since its 2010 debut for  packing a full-size voice into a compact form that's perfect for an  active lifestyle. Each Mini comes with dot fretboard inlays and a three-ring rosette, and is pre-fitted for Taylor's  aftermarket ES-Go™ soundhole pickup.

From our Specialty guitar category, our Baritone-6 enjoys a new  ovangkol/spruce wood pairing with the Grand Symphony 416ce-LTD. The baritone design enables players to explore the low growl of a  bari-voiced guitar (tuned from B to B) complemented by ovangkol's rich  tonal range and clarity. The 416ce-LTD features progressive dot  fretboard inlays, a three-ring rosette, Venetian cutaway, baritone bracing, and ES electronics.

The Spring Limiteds will be available at Authorized Taylor Dealers in early April. To find a Taylor dealer near you, please visit: www.taylorguitars.com

ANAHEIM, Calif. - January 19, 2012 - Riding a wave of creativity and fresh innovations, Taylor Guitars is readying the release of a very special pairing through the company's Builder's Reserve program: an all-koa tenor ukulele and full-sized matching Grand Symphony guitar. The acoustic coupling offer players an exclusive tandem of instrumental voices that celebrate the musical heritage of the Hawaiian Islands.

Designed by senior luthier Andy Powers, who has designed ukuleles for the likes of Elvis Costello, Taylor Swift and many more, Powers has taken a classic, hand-crafted approach to sharing his love of the ukulele with others. The biggest fan of the uke may be Bob Taylor, who calls it a "guitar player's uke. Anyone who plays guitar can just have fun instantly with this."

With a limited production of 30, each ukulele was hand-built by Powers and features a body length of just over 12 inches and a scale length of 17.25 inches. With its small size, equally diminutive appointments were needed to complement the ukulele. The Taylor team took a page of inspiration from the redesigned Koa series and has included a plumeria flower/island vine fretboard and peghead inlay crafted from blackwood and maple, and accented with a flamey maple rosette. The ukulele comes tuned GCEA for tenor voicing but can accommodate baritone strings and voicing.

The matching guitar in this Builder's Reserve special set is an all-koa cutaway Grand Symphony, which features identical appointments to its smaller counterpart but with one special tone enhancement: solid lining and side braces instead of traditional kerfing on the interior of the guitar. While decidedly more difficult to exact, the result is a guitar that is more responsive and dynamic. The guitar comes equipped with Taylor's Expression System® acoustic electronics.

The company's Builder's Reserve program was started in 2008 to utilize unique, ultra-limited wood sets, which the company has been accumulating in its private reserves over its nearly 40-year history. Each of the all-koa ukulele and guitar sets will come with a full-gloss finish and in their respective cases. The pair will be available at select Taylor dealers as a matched set beginning in late January.

To experience the koa ukulele and Grand Symphony set during the NAMM show, please visit us at the Taylor Showcase in room 213ABC of the Anaheim Convention Center.

On par with many of fall's familiar traditions, Taylor Guitars is readying one of its own - the release of its anticipated Fall Limited Edition models.

This year's Limiteds embody the extraordinary on several fronts: premium  tonewoods led by figured mahogany and koa; new designs that include a deep-body  Dreadnought and 12-fret Grand Auditorium; and fresh inlay concepts such as the "Twist," "Pipeline," and a laser-engraved Victorian motif. Taylor's electric line also yields a seasonal ode with an all-mahogany SolidBody Classic and T3/B that celebrate a vintage era.

The GS Mahogany-LTD showcases a limited reserve (75 sets) of beautifully flamed mahogany that was harvested from hurricane blowdown. The guitar incorporates striking ebony accents in the form of a back mini-wedge, binding, backstrap and an ultra-premium beveled armrest. The armrest's elegant contouring softens the edge where the top meets the sides on the bass side of the lower bout, and blends comfort, functionality and aesthetic appeal. Unique appointments include an abstract "Twist" inlay design from Taylor's Larry  Breedlove, which spirals and wraps between the 7th and 12th frets. Another premium touch on the Sitka spruce top is Adirondack spruce bracing, whose extra elasticity pairs with Taylor's proprietary CV bracing pattern to add sweetness and warmth to the guitar's tones.

The 800 Series Limiteds are distinguished by modified body designs such as the 810e-LTD, a non-cutaway, deep-body Dreadnought that yields a deeper, more robust tone, and the 814ce-LTD,  a 12-fret Grand Auditorium that offers an extra-rich voice. Also exclusive to this year's Limiteds, the 816ce-LTD sports a Florentine cutaway, while the 812ce-LTD incorporates a slotted peghead (normally offered on Taylor's GC8 model). All 800  Series LTDs feature the classic pairing of Indian rosewood back and sides with a Sitka spruce top, along with Taylor's CV bracing. Appointments include white binding, a design touch from years past, and the new Engraved Victorian inlay, which is laser-cut and etched from mother-of-pearl.

Fans of Hawaiian koa will appreciate the 500 Series Limiteds: 512ce-LTD, 514ce-LTD, 516ce-LTD), which boast exotic koa backs and sides and a new Pipeline fretboard inlay. Inspired by the shores of Hawaii, the Pipeline depicts  a circular wave fret marker design. The models also include a 3-ring koa fishbone rosette and Indian rosewood binding. Each of the 500 Series Limiteds is topped with Sitka spruce.

Two all-mahogany electric models also join the Fall LTDs: the SolidBody Classic SB-X-LTD  and the T3/B-LTD.
On the SolidBody Classic, the neck and body were milled from the same mahogany boards to create a perfect visual match. Both models include a traditional mahogany stain and vintage alnico humbuckers. For the Classic, the humbuckers are set against a  parchment pickguard, while parchment binding outlines the T3/B-LTD. A Bigsby vibrato tailpiece and brilliant chrome hardware adorn the T3 for a ready-to-rock look that screams electric, vintage and cool.

Each of the Fall Limiteds comes with Taylor's popular Expression System® pickup and a hardshell case, at the following suggested retail prices: GS Mahogany-LTD,  $7,498; 816ce-LTD, $4,058; 814ce-LTD, $4,058; 812ce-LTD, $3,898; 810ce-LTD, $3,648; 516ce-LTD, $3,998; 514ce-LTD, $3,998; 512ce-LTD, $3,898; 510ce-LTD, $3,798; T3/B-LTD, $3,298; and the SB-X-LTD, $2,298. Now in its fourth year, the award-winning Road Show brings enthusiasts, Taylor clinicians and experts straight from the company's factory in El Cajon, California together for a lively in-store gathering. At each event, Taylor's Road Show team shares insights on the company's guitar-making process and demonstrates how body shapes and woods affect tone. After the demonstration, players are invited to take part in the "Petting Zoo": an opportunity to pick up and play a variety of different models, as well as rare and custom Build to Order models. Admission to each Road Show is free.

The 2010 Fall Road Show schedule will kick off in early September with multiple dates along the West Coast with shows in Oregon and Washington, through the Midwest in Missouri and Nebraska, to be followed by dates in Canada and along the East Coast. The GS Mini™ is the next generation in the company's line of ultra-portable and playable guitars.

Featuring a scaled-down version of Taylor's popular Grand Symphony body shape, the GS Mini boasts a bold voice and impressive tonal depth that belie its compact size, and comes ready to amplify with new, Taylor-designed pickup accessories, making it the "play anywhere" guitar for life on the go.

The GS Mini is the latest brainchild of Taylor's product development team. After  15 years of success with the company's iconic travel guitar, the Baby Taylor®, Bob Taylor wanted to "up the ante." "I know there are a lot of people like me who wanted a little bit larger guitar and a way larger sound, plus the ability to amplify it," Bob shares. The product development team set out to design a guitar that was small, portable, lightweight and affordable, with all of Taylor's signature tone. The company applied its latest design ideas and developed new tooling to produce  the scaled-down size, which features a scale length of 23½ inches and a deeper body depth than the Baby Taylor. Compared to the Baby, the Mini is clearly a larger guitar, especially in the lower bout, yet the differential doesn't seem huge until you strum it. "In terms of its ability to put out sound, it's twice what a Baby is," Bob says. "And it's not just the volume but the depth and richness of the tone. It sounds like a full-size guitar, except that it's ultra-portable." Bob can attest to Mini's mobility and performance from personal experience: He took one with him on a recent USO tour to Iraq with the Zac Brown Band. "It was my constant companion. It was easy to take along, and nice to have when I wanted it.

To add to the guitar's "pick up and perform" appeal, Taylor also wanted to offer  an acoustic pickup for the Mini, but one that could be purchased after-market and easily installed by anyone. Designed exclusively for the Mini, the ES-Go(TM) is a proprietary magnetic soundhole pickup inspired by Taylor's award-winning Expression System®. Part of the ES-Go's design simplicity is that each Mini is pre-fitted for easy installation of the pickup, and can be plugged in with the guitar's discrete, snap-in interior clip. Another accessory that was designed to make it easy to plug in and play is the Taylor V-Cable(TM): a quarter-inch cable with a built-in master volume control. Because the Mini was designed without tone or volume knobs, The V-Cable gives players a volume control where it plugs into the guitar, putting volume control at every player's fingertips any time they plug in. "It's brilliant and simple," shares Bob. "It allows anyone with a guitar but no volume knob to add volume control. You can find it in the dark, you can turn your cable off to unplug noiselessly, and you can use it on any guitar you have."

The GS Mini features a solid Sitka top, a back and sides of sapele laminate, an ebony fretboard and bridge, and a tortoise shell pickguard. The Mini comes ready  to go anywhere in a specially engineered Taylor GS Mini Hardbag and will be available at domestic Taylor dealers starting in late July at a suggested MSRP of $678. The ES-Go and V-Cable will also be available in late July through Taylor's online merchandise and accessories store, TaylorWare. Players can also purchase the Taylor V-Cable through RapcoHorizon, the manufacturer of the V-Cable.

To experience the GS Mini while at Summer NAMM, please visit the Taylor Guitars showcase located on the main floor in room 105.

This year's Limiteds feature an exciting array of exotic tonewoods - Hawaiian koa, Brazilian imbuia, Tasmanian blackwood and Claro walnut - and boast a unique twist, as the company's newest Specialty guitar, the 12-Fret, joins the springtime fun. The 12-Fret-LTD is a sweet-sounding, all-koa Grand Concert trimmed with dark, rich ebony binding. Named for the point at which the neck meets the guitar body, the 12-Fret-LTD features a unique geometry between the neck and bridge, which helps give the guitar a warm, robust vintage voice. It's a sound that Bob Taylor calls  "magical". "I've fallen in love with it," raves Bob. "It's that pure and wonderful." Premium appointments on the 12-Fret-LTD include a 900 Series abalone rosette with an ebony-bound soundhole and abalone-dotted ebony bridge pins.

After a long hiatus, Brazilian imbuia returns with a pair of 700 Series Limiteds, the 714ce-LTD and 716ce-LTD. The beautiful batch of imbuia exhibits deep caramel  hues with rich variegation and is accented with a figured koa back mini wedge and a matching koa heel cap and binding. The imbuia 700 Series LTDs are topped with Sitka spruce and feature an abalone rosette with koa soundhole binding. Tonally,  imbuia's density yields tight, bright tones with plenty of low-end thump and sustain. Two 500 Series Limiteds, a 514ce-LTD and 516ce-LTD, showcase the rich Tasmanian blackwood backs and sides. Known as a cousin of koa, blackwood shares koa's blend of midrange bloom, top end brightness, and an overall tone that will sweetly mellow over time. Both models are topped with Sitka spruce and include Ivoroid binding,  an abalone rosette, and an all-gloss finish.

Fans of walnut's tonal mix of brightness, projection and warmth will rejoice at the sound and look of the 400 Series Limiteds. Offered in four different shapes,  the 410ce-LTD, 412ce-LTD, 414ce-LTD, and 416ce-LTD, each sports a deeply figured, chocolate-hued walnut back and sides dramatically contrasted by a figured maple back mini wedge and heel cap, along with a maple neck and body binding. All feature a Sitka spruce top, and additional premium appointments include an abalone rosette and an all-gloss finish.

Each of the Spring Limiteds come with a cutaway, Taylor's popular and intuitive Expression System® pickup, and in a hardshell case. The 2010 Spring Limiteds will be offered at a suggested retail price of $2,798 for the 400-LTDs; $3,698 for the 500-LTDs; $3,898 for the 700-LTDs and at $5,198 for the 12-Fret-LTD. The models are now available at authorized Taylor dealers.

Taylor Guitars is proud to debut an inspiring new acoustic voice, the 12-Fret

As one of several new Specialty guitars in the company's 2010 lineup. Named for

the point where the neck meets the guitar's body, the 12-Fret revives an acoustic

design concept from yesteryear, refining it with signature Taylor craftsmanship

to deliver a sweet, warm, vintage sound with a surprisingly robust voice.

The 12-Fret was inspired by Taylor's 35th anniversary in late 2009, when the company

built a series of commemorative guitars in ultra-limited quantities, including a

12-fret Grand Concert model. The guitar's unique sound instantly captivated Bob

Taylor and other players, prompting the design of a rosewood/spruce 12-fret model

for the 2010 line. "I've fallen in love with it," raves Bob. "It's that pure and

wonderful. What gets me is its tone coupled with its large voice, all in a small,

lightweight package."

The appealing tonal properties are the result of Taylor's advanced design engineering.
As the neck meets the body at the 12th fret instead of the 14th, the altered geometry
of the neck, body and bridge in relation to each other creates a sweet spot of sound
- deep and warm on the low end, with crisp, articulate trebles and an impressive
overall volume. The "modern vintage" tone gives the 12-Fret the voice of an aged
guitar right out of the case.

The Grand Concert body features a back and sides of beautiful Indian rosewood and
is complemented by a creamy Sitka spruce top, and a cutaway that allows access to
the upper register. Premium appointments include Ivoroid binding, an abalone rosette
with an Ivoroid-bound soundhole, and abalone-dotted ebony bridge pins. The mahogany
neck features a 24 7/8-inch scale length topped with a slotted peghead and crowned
with Indian rosewood. On the inside, the guitar's voicing is enhanced by a special
12-Fret bracing pattern and Taylor's Expression System® pickup to naturally amplify
the guitar's rich tonal nuances.

The 12-Fret guitar joins the Baritone 8- and 6-String models, announced earlier
this year, as part of the company's series of Specialty guitars. The new guitar
will be offered at a suggested retail price of $3,898 and will be available at both
domestic and international dealers in late spring.

San Diego-based troubadour Jason Mraz has spent the past thirteen years performing everywhere from local coffee shops to stadiums with his Taylor guitars. Along the way, Mraz has released three studio albums, several EP's and live albums including the recently released "Beautiful Mess - Live on Earth" DVD/CD. Mraz's live shows have garnered critical acclaim around the world and his albums have earned multiple Grammy nominations. Late last year, his hit single, "I'm Yours," set a music industry record for the most weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. In early December, Mraz visited the Taylor factory to meet with the company's design team and to complete work on his own Taylor model, the Jason Mraz Signature Model (JMSM). The JMSM is based on Mraz's go-to guitar, a Taylor nylon-string NS72ce, a guitar he says "nurtured a whole album's worth of songs" and in performances, "gave me a way to communicate with the audience without a guitar standing in my way. It felt like it was part of me, it was a part of the energy that I wanted to put out there." Crafted from a back and sides of Indian rosewood and a top of Western Red cedar, the JMSM includes key design touches provided by Mraz. The fretboard inlay, in Mexican cypress, features the phrase "Be Love" set below a design that features a triangle within a circle, which mirrors a forearm tattoo he got in July 2009. "I chose this symbol simply because I want to be whole in mind, body and soul," he explains. "I think that's a divine trinity there. What is 'Be Love' but cutting out the middle man. You don't have to have a certain someone to be loved. You don't have to have certain conditions to have love in your life. You can just be love. So, it's basically a practice of unconditional love, a practice of unabashed generosity." Mraz's touch can also be seen in the soundhole rosette, which features one of the artist's passions: the zodiac. "I'm always looking into the cosmos to inspire me or to help me create my schedule, even for tours and for when I'm going to write and what I'm going to do," Mraz shares. "So, everyone can relate to this because your zodiac sign is going to be in the rosette somewhere, in the person you love, all the relationships in your life can be related to this...the rosette is here for us to put ourselves into the universe." The hand-inlaid rosette of the twelve signs of the zodiac is crafted from a Hawaiian koa ring, a background of bubinga, and Mexican cypress symbols. The JMSM comes ready for both intimate venues and crowd-packed stadiums with the company's ES-N® pickup, in a hardshell case, with a certificate of authenticity signed by Jason Mraz. The JMSM model will be available at authorized domestic and international Taylor dealers in late spring.

Taylor Guitars is inviting players to "rock it your way" with the introduction of customizable SolidBody guitars. Fans of the Classic, Standard, and Custom SolidBodys can now tailor their choice of pickup configurations, colors, and have the option of a Taylor-designed tremolo, all to dial in their perfect tone and look. "By adding a variety of pickups and configurations, players have a multitude of options available, literally, at their fingertips, to reflect their personalities and tonal preferences," shared David Hosler, vice president. "Beyond mere color choices, we wanted to offer players the opportunity to customize their SolidBody from the top down." For the perfect tone, the company has expanded its popular, guitar player friendly, plug-and-play loaded pickguards across the SolidBody models. Totally solderless and easily swapped with just a screwdriver, the new pickup combos come ready to rock in 11 different combinations on a choice of four different pickguard colors, including black, tortoise, and black or white pearl. Players have the option of two mini or full-sized, high-gain (HG) or high-definition (HD) humbuckers, two or three mini HD or HG humbuckers, three single coils, or a two single coil and one full-size HG pickup split. Offered for the first time in the SolidBody line, players will also have the option of a Vintage Alnico (VA) loaded pickguard. The VA pickups, a familiar and welcome sound to the electric guitar enthusiast, pay homage to the tradition of classic humbuckers but impart its own unique identity in the world of electric pickups. Hosler explains: "I've always liked that big wooly tone that comes with PAF (patent applied for) humbuckers. The goal was to create a pickup that was a more modern version of that type of sound." Custom and Standard SolidBody players will also have a choice of pickguard-free, swappable, modular pickups, including two mini or full-sized HG or HD pickups, as well as a two full-sized VAs. Fans of the whammy bar will now have an option of adding the Taylor tremolo to their SolidBody. Sitting on top the sleek, yet comfortable Taylor-designed fulcrum vibrato bridge, the tremolo features a modern design, one that Hosler calls "inspiring." "One of the most unique things with this tremolo is that is has a very modern feel," he explains. Traditional tremolo users will be impressed with the feel and the easy-to-engage action of the bar. Hosler shares, "On top of looking cool, this trem feels good and sounds even better." Exclusive to the SolidBody Classic model, the company has added a variety of vibrant colors to the line including Lava Red Pearl, Jewelescent Orange, Purple Flake, Blue Metallic, Viper Blue, Magenta Pearl, Sublime, Tobacco Sunburst, Sage Green Metallic, and Titanium Pearl. The Classic will continue to be offered in Black, Natural, Trans Red, and Trans White. Each SolidBody features a five-way pickup switch, comfortable tone and volume control knobs, Taylor's proprietary T-Lock™ single bolt neck, and comes ready to rock in a Taylor hard case. The suggested retail prices for the SolidBody Classic options start at $1,748, for the SolidBody Standard at $2,398, and for the Custom at $3,098. The models will be available at authorized domestic and international Taylor dealers in early spring. The complete line of the company's swappable and solderless loaded pickguards and modular pickups is currently available at TaylorWare, the company's online merchandise and electronics store. Once a talented, aspiring preteen with a Taylor guitar and big musical dreams, country pop superstar Taylor Swift has made her mark on the music industry. After spending much of 2009 on her first headlining tour and celebrating the milestone success of 10 million total albums sold and over 20 million paid downloads, Swift is now adding to her repertoire as a singer, songwriter and actress with her very own signature guitar. In collaboration, Taylor Guitars and Taylor Swift announce the arrival of the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor guitar (http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/limiteds/signature/TaylorSwift/), a model that is sure to inspire players of all skill levels with its compact size, full-voiced tone and a top that features Swift's design touches. Based on the best-selling Baby Taylor guitar, the TSBT is ideal for both promising players and accomplished pickers. At three-quarters the size of a standard dreadnought, with a slim 1 11/16-inch neck and a comfortably compact shape, the guitar is just right for both the littlest player's hands and anyone who likes to pick up and play on the go. With the new model, Swift hopes to inspire others to express themselves through music. "I wanted to share my passion for playing guitar with my fans," she says. "For a beginner, finding the right guitar can be intimidating, but this guitar, it's the perfect size. Even if you've been playing for years, it's a great size to travel with." The TSBT is crafted from a resilient sapele laminate body with a solid Sitka spruce top. Swift's design, which encircles the guitar's soundhole, features her well-known expression "Love, Love, Love" among delicate vines. The design also commemorates the songwriting spirit and success of her latest album, Fearless, whose title is inscribed above the bridge along with her signature. Swift, who shares a close relationship with Taylor Guitars and regularly uses a variety of Taylor guitars when both performing and recording, fondly remembers her own Baby Taylor as a go-to guitar during her early days of touring. "I used to sit in the back seat of the rental car while I was on my radio tour at 16, writing songs on my Baby Taylor guitar," she reflects. "I love the sound, and I love those memories." It's not just Swift who is excited about this guitar. Taylor dealers everywhere are also eagerly anticipating its arrival, like Bryan Rankins from Fazio's Frets and Friends in St. Louis, Missouri. "It's not often that I get excited about another 'signature' guitar, but when I heard about the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor, my reaction was much different," Rankins says. "Here you have an incredibly gifted young woman who is inspiring young people through her words and music. When I first saw a picture of the guitar, I knew right away that it would help spawn a whole new breed of young musicians and give them something positive that will stay with them for the rest of their lives." In addition to Taylor's global network of dealers, the Taylor Swift Baby Taylor is available now for pre-orders at Amazon.com. "We're thrilled to work with Taylor Guitars to make the new Taylor Swift Baby Taylor available to our customers," said Noah Herschman, director of Home Electronics and Musical Instruments for Amazon.com. "Taylor Swift is one of the hottest stars in country and pop music, and her collaboration with Taylor Guitars has resulted in a product that we think our customers will love. Now they can pre-order it and ensure they'll get it in time for the holidays." Introduced in 1996, the Baby Taylor was designed to be the ultimate musical travel companion and set the standard for how good a small guitar could sound. Delivering impressive volume and tone for its compact dimensions, the Baby Taylor quickly became the favorite "road guitar" for many professional musicians, including rock legends Bono (U2) and Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), pop artist Katy Perry, and country music hit makers Clint Black and Tim McGraw. The TSBT will be offered at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $398 and comes ready to rock in a cushioned Taylor Guitars gig bag. The Taylor Swift Baby Taylor guitar is available for purchase at authorized Taylor Guitars dealers, Amazon.com and soon, at TaylorSwift.com.

To celebrate the company's 35th Anniversary, Taylor Guitars is honoring requests from players around the globe with the release of two very exclusive editions. Affectionately called the "you asked for it" guitars and constructed in limited quantities, the 12-fret XXXV-TF, and the parlor XXXV-P, pair vintage acoustic concepts from yesteryear with signature Taylor craftsmanship, delivering results that exquisitely expand Taylor's palette of acoustic voices. With a warm, vintage voice, the XXXV-TF, a guitar named so for its 12 frets from the nut to the edge of the body, features a back and sides of spectacular AA-grade koa, an Engelmann spruce top, and a slotted headstock crowned with ebony. The geometry of the neck, body, and bridge design in relation to each other translates into modern yet vintage tones. Bob Taylor shares, "It's probably the warmest Taylor guitar I've ever heard. The mid-tones are beautiful, and it's also loud. The whole experience of playing it is mesmerizing." Premium appointments include a bone nut and saddle, green heart abalone top trim, a single abalone rosette and a koa peghead backstrap. To honor the anniversary, the 18-fret mahogany neck features the "35" inlay between the 11th and 12th frets, and is amplified with the Expression System®. Not to be outdone is the XXXV-P, a parlor guitar that is compact in size but rich with tone. The XXXV-P features a parlor body shape designed by Taylor's Larry Breedlove, with a back and sides of Madagascar rosewood and a top of wide grain Sitka spruce. Like the XXXV-TF, the mahogany neck joins the body at the 12-fret, while an ebony-topped slotted peghead is complemented by a bone nut and saddle. The bridge design, which draws from the Taylor Nylon Series bridge, features shortened ends and scalloped contouring for extra flexibility to enhance top movement and tone. A three-ring green heart abalone rosette and abalone dotted ebony bridge pins highlight the beautiful details of this all-gloss, small-bodied model, while parlor bracing and Taylor's proprietary Expression System pickup provide clear articulation with each strum. The XXXV-TF will be offered at a suggested retail price of $6,998 and the XXXV-P at $5,998. All 35th Anniversary models will come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Taylor co-founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug. The 35th Anniversary guitars are expected to be available in North America in early fall and internationally in late winter.

Designed to embody a blend of beauty, refined craftsmanship, and playing comfort, Taylor Guitars is introducing a special 35th Anniversary edition guitar series that showcases a sculpted armrest, marking the first time such a feature has been included on a Taylor guitar. The XXXV-GS, simply known as the "Armrest Series", incorporates Taylor's popular body style, the Grand Symphony (GS), and features the magnificence of select exotic tonewoods as the perfect match to an elegant, yet practical handcrafted armrest. The armrest, located on the bass side of the guitar's lower bout, replaces the hard edge where a guitar's top meets the sides with a softer contour for one's picking arm to comfortably rest upon while playing. Beyond the ergonomic appeal, an armrest applies a premium aesthetic touch that complements the GS body shape's sensuous curves. It also demands the highest level of guitar craftsmanship. "With the armrest, the woodworking is complicated, but as part of our anniversary, we wanted to offer players a guitar with the coolest, most complex binding treatment you can get on an acoustic," explains Taylor president and co-founder Bob Taylor. To complement the armrest, Taylor's development team scoured the company's substantial wood reserves to find the most striking premium grades of wood, which normally would be saved for the company's custom Build to Order program. The exotic selections include a back, sides and decorative backstrap choice of fiery cocobolo (XXXV-GS-C), AA-grade Macassar ebony (XXXV-GS-M), golden quilt maple (XXXV-GS-MP), or feathered walnut (XXXV-GS-W). All four models feature tops of Sitka spruce, voiced with Taylor's proprietary, tone-enhancing CV bracing, and the Expression System® pickup to deliver superb amplified tone. Additional premium appointments for the XXXV-GS models include a 900 Series abalone rosette, a bone nut and saddle, gold Gotoh tuners and an all-gloss finish. The XXXV-GS-C, -M and -W feature a Florentine cutaway and ebony armrest, binding, headstock overlay and truss rod cover, while the XXXV-MP features a Venetian cutaway and Indian rosewood armrest, binding, headstock overlay and truss rod cover. On the fretboard, a single inlay of "35" between the 11th and 12th frets pays homage to the company's anniversary. The XXXV-GS models will be offered at a suggested retail price of $7,498 and, as with all 35th Anniversary models, will come with a certificate of authenticity signed by Taylor co-founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug. The 35th Anniversary guitars are expected to be available in North America in early fall and internationally in late winter.
