Musikmesse, Frankfurt, Germany - March 21, 2012 - Sonoma Wire Works has added a
free, high-visibility tuner and the GuitarJack Model 2 control panel
to the Taylor EQ iOS app: an input EQ for enhancing the sound of a
Taylor guitar when played through GuitarJack on an iOS device. Players
can select from a range of EQ presets that complement Taylor's
signature guitar body shapes, including the Grand Auditorium, Grand
Symphony, Grand Concert, Dreadnought, T5, or the new GS Mini. Each EQ
preset was custom designed by Taylor Guitars' engineers to optimize
the tone of each body shape for use with the GuitarJack. Players can
also create a custom tone for any guitar by using the six-band
parametric equalizer in Advanced EQ mode, and play along to their
favorite songs by launching Taylor EQ while the iPod app is playing.
ta.jpg
While the Taylor EQ app will work with most iOS guitar adapters and
any acoustic guitar, it is optimized for use with the GuitarJack and
Taylor guitars equipped with the company's Expression System(r) for
the highest quality sound. Taylor EQ is a free app that includes the
GuitarJack control panel, which allows users to configure the
GuitarJack settings and levels, then quit to launch a third party app.
GuitarJack will retain the current settings and levels even when the
iOS device goes to sleep or the GuitarJack is disconnected. Most
Taylor EQ features are also included in FourTrack to enhance
recordings of Taylor guitars or any acoustic guitar.

Taylor EQ's GuitarJack Control Panel now allows users to adjust the
input settings and modes for both GuitarJack Model 1 and Model 2.
GuitarJack is a high quality interface that connects a wide range of
instruments, microphones, and other audio hardware to the iPhone, iPad
and iPod touch. Select 1/4-inch line in, stereo 1/8-inch line in, or
use both inputs for simultaneous voice and instrument recording onto
two tracks at once when used with an app that supports those features.
GuitarJack's 1/8-inch stereo line/headphone output offers increased
drive for headphones. GuitarJack features Lo-Z and Hi-Z modes, 60 dB
of continuous level control, a 12 dB pad for 72 dB of adjustment, a
24-bit AD/DA converter, and high quality sound. GuitarJack is
available from Sonoma Wire Works, Taylor Guitars, and select dealers
worldwide: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guitarjack

Taylor EQ is now available on iTunes:

Sonoma's FourTrack multitrack recording app for iOS includes most of
Taylor EQ's features, and was recently updated to include free
GuitarTone amps and effects, and the GuitarJack Control Panel.
FourTrack's price has been reduced from $9.99 to $4.99 for a limited
time. http://www.sonomawireworks.com/fourtrack

RiffWorks' built-in RiffLink online collaboration has been rewritten for much improved speed, performance and reliability. Easily record ideas at the moment of inspiration, create complete songs with drums and effects, collaborate online with musicians around the world, post tunes to the RiffWorld.com online community, and more. Update improvement details: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/riffworks/update

About RiffWorks & RiffLink: RiffWorks T4 includes 4 layer loop recording, automatic track creation, guitar-oriented effects, the unique InstantDrummer, and more. RiffWorks is an inspiring songwriting tool for individuals and groups. Musicians worldwide can create songs together online using RiffWorks recording software in what feels like real-time. An unlimited number of musicians, using MacOS and/or Windows, can collaborate on a song (4 at a time) and chat while they're at it. RiffWorks Standard is priced at $129 MSRP, and is available from Sonoma Wire Works and many stores worldwide. Sonoma Wire Works, makers of RiffWorks recording software and the FourTrack and InstantDrummer iPhone Apps, has acquired the Discrete Drums brand and product line of drum recording libraries. This move will ensure the continuation and expansion of impeccable drum library products for both Discrete Drums and Sonoma Wire Works customers. Discrete Drums' acclaimed libraries are available in a wide variety of formats, and new Discrete Drums products will be launching soon in various styles, including the Heavy Mental 2 multitrack drum library of performances by legendary drummer Tony Morra, recorded in the world famous Big Boy Room at The Sound Kitchen. Discretedrums.com has been redesigned with preview players, making it easy to find the drum recordings you need by acclaimed drummers like Eric Darken (Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts), Chris McHugh (Keith Urban, Faith Hill), Tony Morra (Ayeshia Woods), Greg Morrow (Deana Carter), and others. http://www.discretedrums.com Rick DiFonzo, Discrete Drums Founder says, "Discrete Drums was born of necessity. When I tried to use drum libraries in my work as a composer/producer, I quickly found even the best sounding libraries tied my hands. Not wanting to use a drum machine, I called some old friends, went into the studio, and Discrete Drums was born. Now that I'm ready to go back to my roots as a performing musician, Sonoma Wire Works is a great fit for taking the reigns and continuing to offer quality Discrete Drums products." Doug Wright, Sonoma Wire Works President adds, "Sonoma has always been impressed by the quality recordings achieved by Discrete Drums. We originally designed our InstantDrummer to take advantage of Discrete Drums' recordings because they offer a wide range of intensity, variation and room sound. While Sonoma Wire Works will bring more Discrete Drums recordings into the InstantDrummer format for RiffWorks and the iPhone, we are also proud to continue to offer Discrete's multitrack and stereo drum libraries that can be used with any recording software that imports WAV files. We are looking forward to releasing several new Discrete Drums libraries that were masterfully created by the original Discrete Drums team of renowned producers, engineers and drummers, starting with Heavy Mental 2."

The FourTrack multitrack audio recorder for the iPhone has been updated to v2.0 with new, highly anticipated song tools including bounce, duplicate and a metronome with real drum recordings. • Bounce — Mix your song to track 1 and 2 of a new song. This makes room for two more tracks while preserving the originals for syncing to desktop recording software.
•Duplicate — Make a backup of your song and continue working on it in a different file.
•Metronome — Maintain a consistent tempo by recording along with real drums (not MIDI) using FourTrack’s built-in metronome. Select a tempo by entering a number or by tapping. Choose from seven sounds including three beats by celebrity drummer Jason McGerr on his signature Ludwig kit recorded in his Seattle based studio, Two Sticks Audio. Other sounds (Block A, Block B, High Hat, and Pop) are samples of live drums and percussion courtesy of Discrete Drums, the original multitrack drum library. Time signatures include 3/4, 4/4, 6/8 and X/4 (which are unaccented beats that can be used to play 5, 7, 9 and other odd meters).
