J. Naylor LLC Releases Axe Balancer for Neck Heavy Guitars & Basses  The Axe Balancer is a patent pending product designed for neck heavy guitars and basses. A tiny tungsten steel block mounts to the body under the strap button. Because the block is mounted directly to the body at the farthest possible point from the headstock, it works as a very effective counterweight.  The block is only 7 ounces and very small, so you barely feel or see it.  The Axe Balancer helps keep the neck in playing position, so you don't have to hold it up while playing. Your arms are more relaxed so you play better and feel less fatigue. Works with any guitar or bass, electric or acoustic.  Features include: large and small diameter mounting screws (small fits "straplock" buttons), non-reactive foam pad on bottom of block, and tungsten steel block with sandblasted finish. The Reeves Gabrels Signature Reverend Guitar now has a Wilkinson Trem that is recessed into
the Korina body. This adds more versatility to an already multifaceted guitar. The Reeves attains clarity with power
through the high-output, coverless Reverend Humbucker at the bridge and the DiMarzio Fast Track 1 at the neck. In
addition to the volume/tone/bass contour knobs that all Reverends feature, The Reeves also has a push-pull phase
switch for further sonic adventures. The  ame-topped model is available in Transparent Red and Transparent Black.
Reverend Guitars are designed with the individual performer in mind. The versatile instruments combine vintage
styling with the next step in guitar innovation. Come see them all at booth 1250!

Designed in collaboration with Grammy-nominated rock and blues artist Rick Vito.

rick_vito_signature_blk.jpgKnown for his tasteful and versatile chops, Rick is a former member of Fleetwood Mac and has worked with Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Todd Rundgren, John Fogerty, Bob Seger (that's Rick on the "Like A Rock" slide solo), Roger McGuinn, John Mayall, Hank Williams Jr., The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, and many others.

rick_vito_signature_osg.jpgSpecial features:

• Dual-Pro bridge pickup

• Ebony fretboard

• Pickup pan knob

• Locking "Stairstep" tuners
• Two-tone tapered case

This art deco masterpiece sounds as good as it looks! The korina construction is warm and resonant, the ebony fretboard adds clarity and a slick feel. The neck P90 has been moved slightly closer to the bridge for extra bite.

But the big news is the Reverend Dual-Pro bridge pickup. Based on a mid 1960's Supro™ pickup, it's a hot single coil with a second blade polepiece in addition to the standard screw polepieces. The blade is essential to the unique sound: imagine a P90 meets Tele with humbucker output... fat, raw and clear. And we managed to fit it all into a standard size humbucker cover, a first in the industry.

Available in Oceanside Green and Black

Reverend has cooked up a new signature guitar with Unknown Hinson, the self-proclaimed King of Country Western Troubadours, Billy Bob Thornton sideman, and underground guitar legend. The guitar fulfills Hinson's need for a lightweight semi-hollow guitar that can cover everything from authentic Country twang to classic rock Hippy Mess. Based on the Club King model, this guitar has a smaller, lighter body, and full-length center block for increased clarity when using overdrive. The two Reverend P-90 pickups in combination with the Bass Contour control deliver a wide pallete of tone options. The black color scheme, bat inlays, engraved pickguard, and included Coffin Case complete the vampire-meets-hillbilly vibe. Other key features include a korina body with solid spruce top, 24.75" bolt-on maple neck, and Pin-Lock tuners. Available in Black only. List: $1329, Street $1099. The Unknown Hinson Signature will be on display at NAMM booth #1372.

Gil Parris will demo his signature guitar at the NAMM show (Jan. 14-17). Demo times are Friday and Saturday at 2:30 PM. Hailing from NYC, Gil is shaking up the guitar world with his killer chops and unique style that cohesively fuses jazz, funk, rock and country. He's former lead guitarist with Blood, Sweat and Tears, and has worked with David Sanborn, Will Lee, Dr. John, Chuck Rainey, and many others. Gil is currently focusing on his solo career, with his new CD, "A Certain Beauty." Gil's requirements were straightforward: build a unique looking, extremely versatile guitar that is gig-ready right out of the box, and sells for under $1,000. We went with two Reverend humbuckers, and a Lace Sensor Burgundy single-coil in the middle. The humless Lace Sensor matches tonally with the humbuckers, and combined with the 5-way pickup selector and Bass Contour control adds up to a wide-ranging guitar that'll cover NYC to LA to Nashville tones. Features include: solid korina body, bolt-on 25.50" scale maple neck, maple fretboard, Pin-Lock tuners, and Bass Contour control. List $910, Street $759.

Country/roots-rock guitar legend and Grammy-winning artist/producer Pete Anderson will demo his signature guitar at the NAMM show (Jan. 14-17). He will perform at the Reverend booth, Friday and Saturday at 4PM. Reverend has teamed up with Pete for Reverend's first full hollow model. The guitar projects a vintage look, but has upgraded performance features designed to appeal to today's players. The satin finish and vintage appointments project a low key "pawnshop prize" look that belies the guitars high performance design—similar in concept to an old sleeper street rod with a hidden nitrous tank. Key features include two Reverend P-90 pickups, laminated single-cutaway body, Bigsby B70 tremolo, Pin-Lock tuners, Bass Contour control, and the innovative Uni-Brace, low-feedback bracing. The unique Uni-Brace developed by Joe Naylor reduces uncontrollable feedback, increases sustain and clarity, and adds structural integrity to the neck block area. List $1439, street $1199
