HAYWARD, CA— Recording King's updated our Slope Shoulder guitars with an extended scale length and vintage styling.
We’ve  taken everything great about our slope shoulder guitars and added a  bunch of new features that will please both modern players and vintage enthusiasts. Following the early  mid-century “Jumbo” to “advanced Jumbo” change, we’ve extended our scale  length to the full dreadnought scale of 25.4” for a little more punch  and projection. The classic body shape still delivers the sweetness and ideal tonal blend characteristic to slope shoulder  guitars, but the longer scale gives it just a touch more volume to help  cut through the mix. The 1-11/16” bone nut is perfectly comfortable for  strumming, fingerstyle or flatpicking, and combined with the bone saddle, helps to give these guitars an additional degree  of brightness and clarity.
RAJ.jpg
To celebrate the sonic upgrades, we’ve made some changes in the detailing too, with ivory body and fretboard binding, pearl fretboard dots, vintage-inspired Golden Age tuners and the classic Recording King headstock logo inlay.
Our  slope shoulder guitars are available in two different models to fit the  needs of any player. The RAJ-126 has a solid AA grade Sitka spruce top and solid African Mahogany back and  sides. It’s finished in vintage sunburst with a classic firestripe  pickguard, and ivory Golden Age tuning machines.
The RAJ-116 has the same AA grade Sitka top with Mahogany back and sides. It’s finished in natural, with the same firestripe pickguard but with vintage-style Grover tuners.
The  Recording King Slope Shoulder guitars start at a MAP of $499.99 with  solid Sitka top and Mahogany back and sides, and come with Recording King's industry-leading lifetime warranty.

Street price From $549.99
HAYWARD,  CA— Recording King’s new 13-Fret Greenwich Village has a 4/12” deep body for extra tone and projection in a small-body instrument with vintage styling.
In the spirit of one of the most famous “lost” guitars in history, the Greenwich Village has loads of vintage vibe and tone. With an extra-deep  body, 13-fret neck joint and classic Recording King headstock, this guitar honors both Golden Age film troubadours like Nick Lucas and historic folk singers from the 1960’s. From the same series and built with the same appointments as the best-selling RD-06, the RP-06 sports a solid Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides. HAYWARD, CA—The Recording King RD-10 is the first of its kind. An all-solid guitar with a street price of $349 is a new precedent for the industry.

Crown the new King of Value! Recording King is proud to
introduce our all-new *RD-316*, an Adirondack top, all-solid,
nitrocellulose finished guitar with a MAP of $689. For guitar lovers
everywhere, there's simply no better dreadnought value available.

The soundboard of the RD-316 is made from solid AAA Adirondack Spruce.
Adirondack has been a prized choice for guitar tops since the 1920's. It
is generally considered to be more resonant that Sitka Spruce and it
also has a unique wide-grain pattern that makes Adirondack guitars
aesthetically unique. For many years, Adirondack Spruce was rare or
unavailable; even now, guitars with Adirondack Spruce tops are among the
most sought-after guitar models on the market.

The RD-316's back and sides are made from solid African Mahogany. The
316 has a nut width of 1-11/16" and the one-piece Mahogany neck is
fitted to the body with a hand-cut dovetail joint. The fretboard is made
from ebony, as is the bridge. The guitar is finished in a thin coat of
nitrocellulose lacquer for resonance and historical accuracy.  Finding
this combination of features at this price is simply unheard of.

The RD-316's aesthetics have been heavily influenced by the standard
workhorse dreadnought guitarists have relied on for the past 80 years.
The tasteful appointments include descending sized dots on the
fretboard, solid black bridge pins and endpin, subdued tortoise body
binding and a traditional, understated rosette. This is a professional
instrument, from top to bottom, right down to the Grover butterbean
tuners. At a MAP of $689, the new RD-316 is a win-win for players
looking for a great instrument that won't break the bank.  No company
can match Recording King's combination of features and value in
historically designed, handcrafted instruments.

Recording King is excited to announce that the guitars from our collaboration with Eric Schoenberg are now available.  We’ve built two models, a classic single 0 size cutaway, as well as a 00-size with a cutaway body.

The Recording King RP1 and RP2 (RP1-626 and RP2-626) offer players the even frequency response, clarity and wider neck traditional to a classic parlor style, but the unique addition of a cutaway gives fingerstyle guitarists easier access to the upper frets.

Eric Schoenberg’s influence on guitar marries traditional fingerstyle playing to classic ragtime and walking basslines.  His “Fingerpicking Beatles” book is considered an essential text for modern fingerstyle players.  Mr. Schoenberg prefers the 12-fret cutaway body because he believes the 12-fret neck joint gives the guitars a gutsier voice, and the cutaway is not so deep that it detracts from the sound.  As Schoenberg describes it, the Recording King 0 and 00 guitars offer the best of both a 12-fret and a 14-fret neck joint, thanks to the cutaway.  “When the (Recording King) ROS-626 model came out, I saw it and said, the quality is excellent, the style is great; a collaboration on something similar is just what I’ve been looking for,” Schoenberg explains.

On both the RP1-626 and RP2-626, the one-piece mahogany neck with a classic v-profile meets the body at the 12-fret with a hand cut dovetail joint, giving these guitars a warm, rich and perfectly balanced sound.  The solid AAA Engelmann spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides have been carefully selected and hand-assembled.  With a 1-3/4” nut width, Grover tuners, ebony fretboard and ebony pyramid bridge, these 0 and 00 guitars are as well-appointed and unique as they are beautiful.  Each guitar is sprayed with a thin coat of nitrocellulose lacquer and then hand-buffed for a finish that is extremely resonant and historically accurate.

The RP1-626 and RP2-626 models have a MAP of $999.99 and have a lifetime warranty. Recording King is the manufacturer of professional quality acoustic guitar and banjos.

Recording King is proud to introduce our all-new 327 with an Adirondack spruce top, nitrocellulose lacquer finish and exquisite M.O.P and abalone inlay.  It’s the perfect choice for players who want a guitar made from some of the best materials available, but priced for everyone.

The Recording King 327 is available in either dreadnought (RD) or 000-style (RO) body shapes.  The top is made from solid AAA Adirondack spruce.  Adirondack has been a prized choice for guitar tops since the 1920’s.  It is generally considered to be more resonant that Sitka spruce and it also has a unique wide-grain pattern that makes Adirondack guitars aesthetically unique.  For many years, Adirondack spruce was rare or unavailable; even now, guitars with Adirondack spruce tops are among the most expensive and sought-after models.

The back and sides of both the RD- and RO-327 are made from solid East Indian Rosewood.  The 327 has a nut width of 1-3/4” and the one-piece neck is fitted to the body with a hand-cut dovetail joint.  The fretboard is made from ebony, as is the slot-through bridge.  With extensively detailed abalone top purfling, rosette, and torch-style headstock inlay, the 327 looks as beautiful as it sounds.  The guitar is finished in a thin coat of nitrocellulose lacquer for resonance and historical accuracy.

From most guitar builders, just one of the 327’s professional features would be enough to ratchet its price over $1000, but Recording King delivers this unbelievable combination of hand-crafted design, aesthetic beauty and unparalleled warmth and projection for a MAP of $974.99.  No company can match Recording King’s combination of features and value in historically designed, handcrafted instruments.

Recording King is excited to announce the result of our collaboration with the respected guitarist and historian Eric Schoenberg. The two new models will be a classic single 0 parlor size cutaway, and a 00-size with a cutaway body. The Recording King parlor guitars (RP1-626 and RP2-626) offer players the even frequency response, clarity, and wider neck traditional to a classic parlor style, but the unique addition of a cutaway gives fingerstyle guitarists easier access to the upper frets. Eric Schoenberg's influence on guitar marries traditional fingerstyle playing to classic ragtime and walking basslines. His Fingerpicking Beatles book is considered an essential text for modern fingerstyle players. Mr. Schoenberg prefers the 12-fret cutaway because he believes the 12-fret neck joint gives the guitars a gutsier voice, yet the cutaway is not so deep that it takes away from the sound. As Schoenberg describes it, the Recording King parlor guitars offer the best of both a 12-fret and a 14-fret neck joint, thanks to the cutaway. Schoenberg explains his decision to work with Recording King on these guitars in this way, "When the (Recording King) ROS-626 model came out, I saw it and said, 'the quality is excellent, the style is great; a collaboration on something similar is just what I've been looking for.'" On both the RP1-626 and RP2-626, the one-piece mahogany neck with a classic v-profile meets the body at the 12-fret with a hand cut dovetail joint, giving these guitars a true parlor sound, warm and rich, but perfectly balanced. The solid AAA Engelmann spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides have been carefully selected and hand-assembled. With a 1-3/4" nut width, Grover tuners, ebony fretboard, and ebony pyramid bridge, these parlor guitars are as well-appointed and unique as they are beautiful. Each guitar is sprayed with a thin coat of nitrocellulose lacquer and then hand-buffed for a finish that is extremely resonant and historically accurate. The RP1-626 and RP2-626 models have a MAP of $999.99 and have a lifetime warranty.
