Composing With Triple Play
Guitarists now have the flexibility to compose with a wide range of instruments while getting full, accurate notation from Triple Play to share music with other band members. Triple Play’s precise note-by-note transcriptions let beginners learn faster and more intuitively.
Performing With Triple Play
Performers can use Triple Play to combine their guitar with any virtual instrument or hardware synthesizer to access a wide range of instruments, samples and sounds on stage so they can expand the depth and impact of live performances.

Recording With Triple Play
The easiest way to seamlessly integrate a guitar with a favorite DAW running on a PC, Mac® or iPad®, Triple Play quickly and easily becomes a complete music recording and production tool. Guitarists can build entire arrangements with drums, bass, keyboards, horns, strings, voices and more, all from the Triple Play Wireless Guitar Controller.

The System
Triple Play comes with a Wireless Controller, Hexaphonic Pickup, and Wireless USB Receiver. The Controller and included software works with industry standard DAWs and Virtual Instruments and installs quickly on any electric guitar. The system can be easily removed from the guitar because it doesn’t require any permanent installation.

The Triple Play system features several “hold” functions such as sustain, looping, and arpeggiators, along with string or fret splits for multiple instruments. Also included are Menu navigation controls for the included software and a Guitar synthesizer volume control. A Guitar, Mix, Synth switch is easily accessible during performances. A low profile design (less than .5”) allows the Controller  to be left on the guitar and still fit in the case. It operates with a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery (included).

Triple Play’s powered USB Wireless Receiver interfaces with computers or iOS devices. The system comes with a comprehensive Windows, OSX and iOS software bundle to get users started.

A Triple Play Wireless Guitar Expander option provides additional connectivity for interfacing wireless MIDI signals to computers or iOS  devices. It adds a full function USB audio interface with guitar input, bypass and headphone output, MIDI hardware IN and OUT and support for footswitches to greatly extend Triple Play’s capabilities for recording, performing or composing music.

Triple Play Wireless Guitar Controller is scheduled for release in June 2012.

Andover, MA–Funk legend Bootsy Collins has incorporated Fishman’s Fission Bass Powerchord FX Pedal into his effects rig and is using it on tour and in the studio.

Asked about Fission, Bootsy commented, “I love it when the band is playing a power riff together with stacked harmonies, add 5ths & octaves, man, it doesn't get any funkier. Now the next best thing is playing by myself with the Fission Bass Powerchord FX pedal. It makes me feel like I am playing with my band in the upper room standing in the balcony of your mind. Feel the power of the One and check it out today baba!”Bootsy.jpg

Using Fission’s intuitive set of controls and footswitches, four unique voicings pitch-shifted above the root note can be combined to produce power chords or octave-up effects, which make it ideal for Collins's one-of-a-kind style.

Four footswitch LEDs provide visible indication of the selected harmony. When the effect is off, the LEDs dim, which make it easy to set up a harmony before playing the chord. Fission Bass also offers an adjustable noise gate, overdrive, tone and effect level. Available voicings are: Octave up, Octave up with 5th above, Octave up with 4th above, or octave / 5th / octave above. This power-effect combo provides expressive creative control over anything from subtle octaves to thick, grinding effects that even your guitar  player will envy.

Woodstock, NY––Fishman Acoustic Amplification was both a sponsor and exhibitor at the recent Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase.

Billed as “an alternative guitar show” and held at the Bearsville Theater and Utopia Soundstage, the event was an ideal setting for luthiers to exhibit the highest quality, handmade acoustic guitars and stringed musical  instruments. It also featured continuous live music performances, Luthier mini-concerts and special appearances by leading artists.
Fishman.jpg
The Showcase provides a unique opportunity for the public to see, play and experience instruments not generally available in music stores and other retail environments and meet with their makers to discuss custom options for their ultimate “dream instrument.”

More than fifty exhibitors attended the showcase this year, including makers, wood dealers, parts and tool suppliers, inlay artists, lutherie schools and services,  string and accessories manufacturers and sponsors such as Fishman.

A popular stop with attendees, Fishman got a positive response with
the Loudbox Artist, and Loudbox Mini acoustic amps, the SA220 Solo Performance System, Aura Spectrum DI, Matrix Infinity, Rare Earth and the new Blackstack pickups.

Asked about Fishman’s participation in the Woodstock Invitational, Director of Marketing and Artist Relations Chris DeMaria stated, “This show provides a great opportunity for Fishman to present acoustic amplification options to both the luthiers and attendees.

“With a show this size, you really get to take the time and talk to people in depth about Fishman products for their one-of-a-kind instrument. The number of people who came by to tell us how much they loved the Loudbox amps was amazing.”

The trial resulting from the lawsuit filed by Andover-based Fishman Transducers, Inc. on January 17, 2007 against Stephen Paul d/b/a "Esteban," Daystar Productions, and HSN Interactive, LLC, started today in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

The lawsuit is for unfair competition, trademark infringement, and false advertising in violation of the Federal Lanham Act.

Fishman alleges in its complaint that Esteban, Daystar, and HSN advertised, promoted, and sold Esteban guitars while falsely misrepresenting to the public that the Esteban guitars were equipped with Fishman electronic components.

According to the lawsuit, these false and misleading statements have been made in television infomercials as well as on numerous websites.

In fact, Fishman has sold no electronic components to Esteban or any other party for use in Esteban guitars, and it has not authorized either Esteban or Daystar to use the name and trademark "Fishman" in promoting and selling Esteban guitars.

Larry Fishman, president of Fishman Transducers, stated, "We have worked hard for many years to establish a position as a leading manufacturer of the highest-quality products. We are obviously very concerned by the blatant misconduct of the defendants identified in our complaint, and we intend to protect our good name and trademarks vigorously."

Chris Martin, CEO of CF Martin Guitars, will be testifying for Fishman as the trial progresses.

For more information about the trial and Fishman, please call Chris DeMaria at 978.988.9199 or JC Costa/Brainstorm Media at 212.362.4271.
