DBZ Guitars announces a new breakthrough in guitar neck design.

Unveiling of DBZ's cutting edge new necks, called the Dean B Zelinsky "Z-Glide" Reduced Friction Neck (patent pending) will take place at the 2011 NAMM show January 13 in Anaheim, California.

The Z-Glide guitar necks, which will be available as an option on DBZ USA Custom Shop Guitars, utilize a surface designed to let your hand glide effortlessly up and down the neck. Dean Zelinsky's Z-Glide necks eliminate the sticky/clammy feeling gloss lacquered necks are known to produce.

Invented by company founder Dean Zelinsky, the revolutionary Z-Glide guitar neck is achieved by precisely engraving carefully tested patterns into the back of the neck which reduce surface area while trapping moisture and sweat. The result is an ultra fast neck with a consistent, silky-smooth feel.

"This is likely the first real breakthrough in guitar design in many years", explained Dean B. Zelinsky, CEO of DBZ Guitars. "No other company has aggressively addressed the surface feel of guitar necks. For other companies, satin or un-finished necks is the "solution" and has been for years…but neither satin or un-finished comes close to what the Z-Glide achieves in feel and playability. I believe the protection the finish provides is important which was part of the inspiration of developing the Z-Glide neck…the magic happens underneath the finish," concluded Zelinsky.

The Z-Glide neck will only be available as an option on USA made DBZ models for

2011. MSRP for the Z-Glide reduced friction neck option is $300

DBZ Guitars, continuing a pattern of industry firsts, expands their line of award winning guitars with the custom engraved Cavallo Peacemaker.

The DBZ Cavallo Peacemaker is a modern V shaped guitar, made in the USA at their suburban Chicago, Illinois facility. The highly sculpted body is adorned with an extremely detailed engraving inspired by the artisans who would intricately engrave firearms of the Wild West era. After extensively researching the craft and engravings of that period, DBZ created the original artwork that is engraved right into the select rock maple top of the Peacemaker. The guitar also features appointments unique to DBZ such as the revolutionary floating logo headstock, and company CEO, Dean Zelinsky's signature neck profile. Originally built as a one off custom guitar, Zelinsky decided to make it a production model after the overwhelming response it received at this year's Summer NAMM show where the brand received Best In Show. DBZ Guitars Takes Flight In Grounded Economy

“DBZ’s are the only thing that’s selling!” – Jim Rubino, Rubino’s Music

Chicago, IL June 16, 2010 – DBZ Guitars is giving music retailers something to be excited about – sales! Dealers are experiencing success with Dean B. Zelinsky's new brand. DBZ Guitars, only shipping since August 2009, is already selling in 22 countries. Zelinsky’s new designs have struck a chord with players worldwide, creating a demand that retailers are profiting from.

Miami’s Space Music owner, Shiva Gangadhar spoke about the success the line has brought to his store. “Having these guitars in our store is a win/win for both us and our customers. Dean Zelinsky is a known name with a commitment to quality. Finally, the guitars he was born to make.” Gangadhar added, “four of my employees are already DBZ owners.”

Jim Rubino from Rubino's Music in Merriville, IN put it this way: “DBZ’s are the only thing that’s selling! I’m having fun selling guitars again. We compared the $5,000 Les Paul to the $749.00 DBZ Imperial. The DBZ wins hands down in neck design, sound and finish. The finishes on these guitars are the best I have seen in 39 years of business. You cannot go wrong with DBZ.” Rubino’s Music will be hosting a DBZ Guitars in-store on September 12, where Dean Zelinsky will make an appearance to meet, greet and sign autographs for fans and customers.

Todd Mobley general manager of The Music Farm in Orrville, OH had this to say, “The buzz has made this line very profitable for us. DBZ Guitars have been a breath of fresh air!  Expect big things when you get involved with DBZ!”

“People come in actually asking for DBZ's. They are the most exciting line of guitars in decades”, says Eddie Carlino of Carlino Guitars in Medford MA. “There’s an evolution happening...again. I initially brought the DBZ line into my store based on the fact that I've been involved with the evolving ideas of Dean Zelinsky since I was selling his guitars at the age of 17. I now own my own store and after seeing how Zelinsky’s ideas can turn into a player's dream, I just had to carry his new brand. More than just a guitar idea, it's in his DNA. From the Bird of Prey, to the classically styled Bolero, to the innovative Imperial, DBZ's are the most exciting line of guitars in decades.”

“Dealers need guitars that are new and exciting”, states DBZ Guitars CEO Dean Zelinsky. “In this downturn economy, nobody is going to get excited over seeing the same wall of tired old guitars”, Zelinsky noted. “Having DBZ Guitars on the wall gets peoples attention...they turn tire kickers into buyers.”

DBZ Guitars will be displaying at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show in Nashville, TN
June 18 – 20.

DBZ Guitars is now shipping guitars across America and worldwide. With strong sales in America, DBZ Guitars has announced initial distribution to the following countries: Australia, Canada, Central America, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Poland, South America, Spain, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. Music Retailers are singing their praise¿¿¿ "The first guitar we received was a DBZ Tuscan. It sold the same day. We've been receiving regular calls from our customers about the Bird of Prey. One customer was actually waiting in our Georgia location for the delivery truck to arrive. I've never seen a customer so excited about a guitar! He took home a Bird of Prey the day they arrived." - Gerald Freedman, Owner, Freedman's Music, Bluffton, SC "The Bird Of Prey, what a guitar! Like the USA models, even the imports feel great. It's the balance, the weight, the neck shape (which is key here), and the look. This guitar could get by on looks alone but obviously that wasn't the plan here." - Eddie Carlino, Carlino Guitars, Medford, MA "Well exceeded any and all expectations! Quality and playability is top notch." - Todd Mobley, Sales Manager, TheMusicFarm.com, Orrville, OH "When our DBZ guitars arrived, we had to double check where they were made because the import guitars felt like the handmade USA guitars. You just can't find another guitar that feels and plays like this in this price range." - Scott J. Hrdlicka, Director, BeyondEleven.com, Milwaukee, WI DBZ Guitars was founded August 26, 2008 when world-renowned guitar builder Dean B. Zelinsky saw the need to take guitars to an entirely new place. DBZ Guitars breaks through the monotony on a whole new level. With vivid finishes, lifelike textured tops, and three-dimensional carved art, Zelinsky has returned to raise the bar a second time. "Great playing guitars that look superior on stage is what DBZ is all about," says DBZ Guitars CEO, Dean B. Zelinsky. All guitars are available with a vast range of options; brilliant finishes and over-the-top graphics as both import and USA Custom Shop models. DBZ Guitars announces the latest revolution in guitar design: the Imperial. Straight from the mind of legendary guitar designer Dean Zelinsky, the Imperial features classic, large-bodied appeal carved down to a mere 5/8 of an inch thick. "A guitar like this has never been built before so it's only natural that you'll experience tonal qualities that you've never heard," says DBZ founder and CEO Dean B. Zelinsky. The Imperial may initially look like a traditional hollowbody, but it's a solidbody design loaded with revolutionary features that professional players will welcome. The guitar's contours give the top and body a curvaceous, refined style, but the Imperial's oversized design and ultra-thin profile — measuring only 5/8" thick at its thinnest point — also give it a natural, singing projection with tremendous clarity. The tailpiece is set back substantially from the bridge, making bends effortlessly smooth and giving players the ability to do unheard of harmonic tricks by depressing the strings behind the bridge. Everything about the Imperial has been custom designed for the ultimate in musicality — the DBZ pickups have been painstakingly tuned to the body, while the lightweight, custom engraved alloy DBZ tailpiece adds to the guitar's unparalleled sustain. "The Imperial is a guitar that I thought about early on in my career — I've always wanted to build this guitar. When you play this guitar acoustically, it has natural reverb-like qualities — it's like one big sounding board that just vibrates and resonates," says DBZ founder and CEO Dean Zelinsky. "It's an extremely alive guitar, and if you're looking for a guitar that takes you to extremes and puts you in the moment, it doesn't get any better than the Imperial. Rock, Jazz, Blues and Country players will agree that this baby begs to be played. The Imperial is the most versatile guitar I have designed in my 32-year history." Available in both USA and import models, each guitar features a solid mahogany body and maple top, a 22-fret set mahogany neck and a rosewood fingerboard. The Imperial also features custom DBZ private label humbucking pickups, a DBZ engraved stop tailpiece, graphite saddles and Sperzel tuners.
